I dated someone I met through WoW. It didnā€™t work out. I was sad at the time but Iā€™m happy now. I ended up leaving the guild and meeting a bunch of new friends in another medium.

Sometimes easier said than done. Take me for instance - Iā€™m kindā€™ve nerdy and mess around with PCs a lot because I have two degrees. I enjoy building them. I donā€™t see a lot of women taking interest in that stuff. Heck, female classmates in college were in very short supply. Sometimes only 1 in the class and others none at all.

Kind of. We met through a mutual group of friends in a guild called the Cereal Killaz. We played different games but the first one we played together was WoW. My paladin still has the big rock ring he gave to me when he asked me out. Been 11 years now, April 2009. We leveled paladins together, him tank me heal.

They should ask you to teach them, so they can see what has your attention all the time. And if they feel you give more attention to your PC, then they will put effort to include themselves in the PC realm so she can feel included and have something to talk to you about. Seems like a very sensible option to grow close to someone you love. If they donā€™t know anything about PCs, they can learn.

Iā€™d teach anyone that wanted to learn, regardless of gender.

Those that know how to build a PC already do and most of those that donā€™t are happy to buy something pre-built :joy:

You donā€™t need a massive gaming rig to play WoW. Thatā€™s one of its pluses. Till Recently I played on a series of Macbook Pros. I still do when I play in bed. (Its lighter and cooler than my MSI) You can play WoW easy on any mid level laptop.
