Maybe people need to be given a chance to settle into their roles? Maybe other people should remember that they themselves weren’t born knowing everything there is to know about a given dungeon? Because the long-term results for everyone would be better, you know.
So you say but you won’t report it. So how bad is it ?
uh…sorry…show me where I said I never report it…
I think you and I have run our course on this exchange. Nothing more to say to each other.
I told you to report it and you said you are ignoring me. If you report it then what is the purpose of this thread again ?
You aren’t going to change anyone’s mind.
Funny thing is that its likely some of the same players screaming about that old timey ‘community’ where people worked together…who are also spewing out this hatred over a silly mistake in a video game.
If they are that serious then running with random players doesnt seem like a good idea. Having a guild where everyone knows their role in the group and have worked together before is clearly the best option for those players.
edit…and I just cant see really new, inexperienced players being the ones who are screaming at other players.
They do even if you do the tanking right, the screams from other blaming would kick a tank for no reason other than it failed and effected their dps.I should know it happen to me on my warrior tank during mop ,that was an realization to me just how bad it can get.
MoP is the last expansion there was any amount of kicking of anybody in LFR. Lots of dps were gone then though.
Just read through this.
I had a VERY bad experience the first dungeon I ever ran.
It took a while to get my nerve up to even try one. I didn’t really know what they were - I was a brand new player.
I didn’t know how to join a guild - I thought they were for really elite players. I didn’t have anyone showing me the ropes.
So - I queued up for a dungeon as dps.
I died and couldn’t find my way to the group. After a lot of really nasty comments - I was kicked.
I deserved the kick - I had no business in that dungeon really - but how else do you learn?
Anyway - it was another three or four years before I dared to run another one - I still don’t find them too appealing because of that initial experience.
Would rather run raids.
But - I almost quit the game over that - I figured I was just a really terrible player.
I know - what is one more player gone?
Probably should just leave the dungeons to those that were born knowing how to play. (sarcasm - in case you missed it).
Legion if I remember right there was as well kicks on Tomb of sargaras -demonic inquisition Lfr ,was the last one I remember where there were constant kicks both with healers and tanks.very heavy coordination were involved because of timing. So there wasn’t just in MOP.
And who knows how many great tanks and healers we’d have now if the obnoxious players would have just kept their mouths shut and not treated other players like this.
Probably have a much shorter Q waiting to get into dungeons right now.
I started doing dungeons in cata. I was kicked and almost quit the game over it as well but looking back I can understand why they did it. I was a terrible player and I actually had no business doing dungeons at that point in time but I improved which I may not have, had that not happened.
Vote kicking is one thing.
Screaming profanities like a rotten child is another.
One is part of the game.
The other is not.
COMPLETELY agree with this.
Oh, I got told vote kicking was bad too by another poster and you agreed. So vote kicking is fine now. Phew so glad I am in the right now.
Just ignore and move on its so simple. No need for whiney forums post no need for reporting. Just remember this is the internet whoever says some bad words you will 90% never talk to them again. Sticks an stones
Kyte the boss to the door in Mogushan Palace. And fight him there. Face it away from the group so it does no cleave damage on the rest of the party.
I never had issues with this boss.
I think one of the big problems is peoples expectations. I expect everyone to suck when I am pugging anything. If they do suck, well I was ready for it, if they dont then I get pleasantly surprised.
If the person screaming was SOOOO GOOD, why are they in LFD anyway? Why aren’t they with their elite guilds doing extra special dungeon runs with all the elite players they know? Oh , that’s right…
We absolutely NEED a color coded system:
Red = new and would like to go slower
Yellow = don’t care what speed.
Green = I want to go fast and get this done.
You should be able to assign a color next to your name and have the LFG system take it into account. The faster we can understand your fellow players primary motivation the better. Example: if you see your tank is red, everyone instantly knows what kind of run it’s going to be. The green players can excuse themselves without having to pitch a fit like a toddler coming down off a sugar high.
Raiding guilds tend to only do progression with each other.
