On Thursday, March 7th 2019 we will be performing forum maintenance. Maintenance will begin at approximately 9:00 AM (PST) and we expect it to be completed by 12:00 PM (PST). During this time, the forums may become unavailable or enter a period of Read-Only mode in which no new posts will be possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding!
Who wants to take bets on whether or not this maintenance adds an ignore feature after all these months? What’s the over/under on no ignore feature, but “fixing” people being able to post without an active sub?

Still no ignore feature in sight for now. Will this add it?! Or will this be the day Blizzard decides to shut down all the non-paying people who are criticizing the state of the game and company?
Or will it just be nothing?? a mystery…

I am absolutely willing to bet that after the 7th anyone with an inactive account won’t be able to post, and that’s it! That’s all they’ll change.
Maybe Bornakk will ask “but can you give an example of a time when you found a forum ignore useful?” in response to someone posting about a time they found the forum ignore feature useful.

He’ll probably tell everyone that the forums will feel larger now without portals…er…ignore.
In a sense, they do. It’s a good example of times at which bigger is not better.

I understand that the lack of an ignore on the forums can throw people off a bit at first, but I also think it helps to keep the forums feeling alive. Without an ignore feature, do the forums feel a bit more alive to you? Do you like that? How difficult is it to overlook negative, offensive, or obnoxious content targeted at you (talking to everybody who isn’t an internet weirdo here 
) ?

I promise this is to make it so without a sub you can’t post. And not only will they not add an ignore feature, they’ll remove the report feature.

They will accidentally reset everyone’s likes to zero.
They’re going to revamp the trust system and make it so that you have to level it up by collecting AP (Awesome Points) via daily forum quests.

I was wondering if it was just me that found Bornakk’s style of posting to be a little weird. Like he just turns criticisms into questions so that he won’t have to address them.

TBH, I’d guess English isn’t his first language. But even so, his style came off as very flippant.
