Forum hysteria

I thought I would give the feedback that I really enjoy this patch. Both new zones have a lot of depth (sometimes hidden) that gives plenty to do. This is way better than the standard zones that you do the quests once and move on - or the old standard of stuff to do once a week.

I also like the many alternatives to gearing up - raiding, benthic gear, heroic warfront, pvp, world bosses, mechagon junkyard, emissary chests and so on. There are issues - for example I just got a titanforged ilvl 440 piece from a world boss that took 2 minutes when I spent days making an ilvl 425 benthic gear piece that sims to best in slot for heroic raids that was replaced by the ilvl 440 piece. It feels a little cheap. But the good thing about benthic gear is that it doesn’t titanforge and I hope this gets more common.

I also like the essence system and the way this encourages delving into parts of the game that had become irrelevant for me.

I hope all new zones have the same depth and levels of content - including levelling zones. A lot of the content is optional - and doesn’t need to be done by for example pvpers or high level raiders.

As a template for future zone designs I think this is good.

If class design is better (the current model where it takes 2 patches into an expansion for the classes to work better is awful. It would be much better to have all these systems front ended so you know which class you would prefer to play early on) then wow will go back to a more sustainable model.

Well done to the zone designers.

Seems like a nice way to marginalize your audience, OP.

Sometimes I pick food that I dropped on the ground right back up and resume eating it.

If you don’t want your thread to derail delete the first half, I can already hear the snarky “Lul you complaining about complaints” incoming. I think the new zone Nectezar or whatever I can’t spell it atm give the homie some time. Anyway I think it’s just Argus 2.0 without the content gate that was heavily shoved into Argus.

I hate the new layouts of the zones, they feel so narrow and forced to go one way or another, I noticed blizzards design team starting to do that in MOP, I miss the vast open lands where it made me feel lost like northerned or outlands. With the new bikini bottom zone and Argus they just shove and cram every corner with mobs, so those without flying have to tough it out for a week or two before the achieve it.

Hopefully with the next expansion they’ll make bigger zones with a more engaging story.

But yeah the first part id delete. The forums have been like this since vanilla and haven’t changed. It is what it is, but you can be the change! And be more positive and loving to other posters instead of poking fun at them, which is easy to do and they will do it back.

Good start to your post. Too bad this is where I stopped reading.

Going to the Nether for laughing at this. First thing that popped up, was Spongebob and Patrick being rares.

I don’t like this patch much.

Spawn times are too long, drop rates are too low.

More frustrating than fun.

I am not a fan of how the game is going now. I don’t like the feeling of being some enemy to be corralled and penalized by the devs.

But just because I feel that way doesn’t mean everyone feels that way.

I guess if one has something nice to say then one ought to say it. I note that the OP even self-corrected his post into a purely positive one. Something to be said for that.

I wish I could join the OP in his immediate wonder and seemingly boundless optimism. But I feel like I have seen the game back when it was good.

And currently it seems like something else entirely; an Inexorable thing that does not often give back the pieces sacrificed in its tightfisted name.

But if you enjoy it OP, then may your delight never wane.

I like BFA, but the rep requirements feel more like another job. I never run out of things to do. I really don’t understand most complaints except pathfinder and its rep requirement.
