Forum battletage bullying

There’s always going to be a bad side to the good idea and a good side to a bad idea. It might work or it might not. You never know the outcome unless you put in the effort to make something happen and this is one of those ideas. It’s called trial and error.

I think what’s needed is a comromise they can make a lot of the changes the people who want byag on the forums want like account wide ignore or only respond to something once

On a different battle tag but if you ignore and block the orginal btag they used they can’t

No one there targets people . Matter of fact we leave most of the stuff in here out of there . We may bring up topics and give our opinions on them .

Also Rhielle only goes to CS forums now if she even comes on to the forums.

I swear you all aren’t happy unless you have a boogyman to blame.

You mean like going around, calling people crybabies and kids… Yeah, your mistake was actually trolling in the first place.

I always wonder what is the deal with people who attack Rhielle and the server. It has been a fun place to hang out, and I haven’t seen anyone on there attack GD, so I am kinda curious.

I mean, if they find it necessary to reinvent the wheel that’d be cool, as long as any new system allows you to ignore a whole account on the forums, identifies sockpuppets and only lets you like or flag a post once per account.

It’s just unlikely that they’re going to put the time and effort into building an entirely new, separate system just because people don’t understand what you can and can’t actually do with Btags.

Like I said people need a boogyman to blame things on

Yeah you’re right maybe a paid service would be better so the people that want Battle.net names can pay extra and that will pay for the pointless overhaul

You do know Blizz doesn’t make their own forums right .

They probalby have it under contract to have them adjusted from time to time .

That sounds nice. Hopefully they would add that apart of the ignore option somehow. So it doesn’t just target a character but the actual account. So I agree and like that idea.

As for the topic in general. Um I’ve been on the forums a long time… a long time… I was getting harassed and stalked for a while. (Also if the company keeps tabs on accounts that post here. They would know I have never demonstrated this behavior with my fellow players. So of course I condone this behavior.) I’ll never forget the time it started around it was BFA launch. This happened to also be the time an influx of players were spamming and telling people to not play WoW anymore. That they want Blizzard Entertainment to disperse (crumble) oh and were calling for some employees heads because they thought they had boastful arrogance.

How this all ended up working out is some employees left. Blizzard Entertainment is in the middle of a deal to sell the company and ah not many people playing anymore. So it’s all really sad. Do I think it’s just a coincidence on the timing that I started getting harassed? When for many years I never was. I’m not certain about that.

Anyways it’s sad because the forums are much much more dead nowadays. Any player before the mass influx of negative feedback and rotten attitude could attest to that. I’m not going to lie there was always a couple negative nancies but I mean just activity wise. It was quite bumping for many years. So it’s sad because out of a game millions of people play across the world (not sure how that number holds up nowadays) it’s been reduced to maybe 100 active posters? Millions. Tbh I think it is even less than that for current active forum posters. This should really raise red flags for this company and it should’ve been dealt with a long time ago before it even got to this point.

I mean I know of numerous jobs that are just based off customer feedback. With loads of employees… yet this company worth BILLIONS never has much feedback??? Something is extremely wrong and has been for a while. It doesn’t make sense.

Oh yes a new poster could post here and very well get sniffed out fast by some of the few remaining posters. I’m not saying this has happened because I really don’t know. I am just implying how easily this could happen and agree with others. They would never have a chance.

Me personally, I miss more active days of the forums. I loved reading a lot of feedback and conversing ideas with fellow players. I don’t think the activity will ever go back to those days around the forum… still currently as it stands it will not get any better or give new growth. So I understand why people been talking about changes on the forum.

That’s interesting not that I don’t believe you but do you have a reliable source for that

not at all.
there are a lot of things i don’t agree with.
it’s just not realistic to expect everyone to agree with everything.

…but when it comes to things like pronouns, i’m not sure it’s even relevant in a fantasy world?

if it’s something people want from an RP perspective, things like TRP already cater to this.
…but to add it as an option in the barbershop (or similar) would add a whole lot more coding than it’s actually worth, considering how few people would actually use it.

When it comes to the game world, nobody has the issue of “i was born the wrong gender”.
Players get to choose the bodytype they want.
It seems silly to choose body type A, if you want to identify as body type B.
Just choose body type B, then you don’t have to identify as anything.
You’re already the body type you want.

If it’s not bait, it’s just a very broken thought process.
(and no, i’m not anti rainbow. It would ruin the immersion of players if NPCs were calling toons by anything other than their chosen body type)

an overhaul is incoming.
it may not be tomorrow or next week, but it’s coming.
there have been many iterations of the forum.
nobody has ever needed to pay for any changes previously, there’s no need to start now.
…but if you want a subset of people to pay, it’s only fair that the people who want to post anonymously on multiple alts, should be the ones to pay extra for the ability to do so.

??
they use Discourse.
It’s common knowledge.

No because that is already the status quo it is the people who desire change who should bankroll it

To be fair, he is kinda scary.
