Mentioned this in another thread but its frustrating how little SLs has to do with Azeroth and how death has affected it.
The Forsaken not having anything to do with it makes no sense. The blood curse not being linked to Revendreth.
Forsaken deserve more options for their customizations and they deserve to be included in an expansion literally about DEATH.

Let me add fuel to the proverbial fire:
SL is “strike two” in regards to the Forsaken race getting absolute neglect as far as story relevance is concerned in death themed expacs. The first strike was WotLK, in which they appeared only to get villain bated and to be absent from defeating the person responsible for their misery and curse.
Blizzard´s double down on this is frankly shameful and a little bit disgusting.

The Forsaken aren’t alone in their neglect. DKs have such little presence in Shadowlands, have lost most of their very few class unique options, didn’t get the love that DHs did. You’d think Blizzard would have updated and added DK customization options to be more inline with what DHs got.
Then, Shadowlands lore royal screws up the Lich King’s legacy, made him look like a joke, reduced Bolvar to a pathetic imbecile just progress the story, has ruined multiple characters and has so far ignored a pretty major event that’s still happening on Azeroth while we’re in Shadowlands.

I’m glad someone agrees with me. 
When I bring this up elsewhere, people are like "You’re stupid, wrong and should feel bad about caring about the lore when Blizzard doesn’t. Don’t whine about retcons because they’ve always happened. " I’ve always hated retcons. I believe that no one should retcon anything unless there’s very good reasons.

Truly it is.
The burning dead. For those who experienced a torturous death by fire. Model perpetually on fire.
Dripping dead those who drowned. Constantly dripping and covered in seaweed.
Also Forsaken should have a currency based on on touch of the grave/cannibalize corpse use. These could be used for body modifications like extra thick bones, spikes, horns, more bizarre or even mundane form of facial features, ghostly forms, flesh construct forms etc.
Mechagnomes should have something similar.
