I suppose it is also strange to me because i should be fulfilling the requirements anyway? I think? Unless i’m not reading as many posts as i think i am.
Well, I also got the boot from the lounge a couple days ago, and figured it was for the 20k posts read.
So I spent time scrolling for a bit for a couple days through some uber threads, probably scrolled through 4k posts or so. I finally got lounge access back last night, so I can once again posts links from wherever, instead of just from youtube or wowhead.
I know 20k posts seems like a lot, but the requirement is 20k over 100 days, so that’s an average of 200 per day, which when looked at that way, doesn’t seem like too much. As long as you do it each and every one of those 100 days and don’t fall behind.

Oh blights… I’ve not been as active lately… Sorry to hear you lost TL3.
So, here’s what I did when I was grinding the forum for that sweet TL3…
Opened two browsers set one to a streaming platform and the other to the forums General Discussion and clicked on the first one… then ignored it and kept hitting the down arrow every so often to jump down and “earn” those posts read while usually watching something actually interesting like how grass grows…
Eventually I cleared that no problem… think I was able to do it in a few hours. Second phase I had to read half the new threads released in the last hundred days. That basically just consisted of me jumping through the “New” section and clicking through the lists of threads, sadly that took more attention than just grinding out post counts…
I think by the end I had actually managed to exceed the limits and pulled this all off within five days of the minimum time I had to be a member to gain TL3 of the forums, which is just because I didn’t know there were ranks before…

This is what makes me frustrated: we have to grind forum rep. As if playing the game wasn’t enough, now we have to not only grind forum rep— we have to maintain it weekly. It’s just not a friendly system, imo.

I didn’t know this happened.
But it’s so good to see they’re fixing the important stuff instead of doing things we asked for like, locking threads after 30 days like they do on other sections of this forum

Yep my account wide TL3 is gone. Just tried to post this on an alt and couldn’t. Gonna post it anyways cause it made me giggle.

I’m so gutted. I enjoyed frequently posting music on that forum. But I switched characters to reflect which main I’m currently playing on.
I hope to be back there soon to listen and share music again!

I feel incredibly dumb for not realizing I’ve had access to the Lounge for a while now. I knew it was there, but because there’s no sub-categories I just thought I could see it but was locked, never once thinking to actually click on the word “Lounge” until I finished reading this thread right now.

youre punished pretty heavily too for being silenced even for a day. just kinda sucks that like 4-6 months of work just gets reverted bc some ppl “thought” you were trolling or whatever small reason lol.
thats a lot of work just to post pics and videos…odd restrcitions makes me wonder if this was abused before in the old forums. forum just need a rehaul either way
