You know how the Spoils of War edition of Warcraft 3 Reforged gave multiplayer unit skins (ex: Champion of the Horde Thrall replacing the Far Seer)?

Should we get War2 remade in War3, I canā€™t help but wonder if weā€™ll get more multiplayer unit skins. For example say replacing the Darkspear Shadow Hunter with a Zulā€™jin skin or even the option to switch between the War2 and War3 Horde to play during multiplayer.

Warcraft II was peak Warcraft. It would be a game i would end buying just for the sake of it.

But we need decent cinematics this time.

Got the Amani bear mount and tried to take a screenshot as best as I could of a Forest Troll using it in Orgrimmar. Itā€™s very helpful to have this mount to imagine what playable Forest Trolls could look like. :bear:

I used ā€œGlyph of Disguiseā€ on one of my Rogues to turn into a Forest Troll. You can get it from the Inscription tradeskill.

It allows Rogues to turn into whatever they successfully pickpocket, though it only lasts for a few minutes and will immediate wear off if you go into combat or an aggressive mob decides it wants to eat your face. It lasts from zone to zone, so you can use it and hearth back while still keeping it.

There are Amani mobs in the Zandalari Troll capital city area that I used to turn into them. They already ride bear mounts, so thankfully, you can mount while having turned into one of them.

Iā€™m thankful Glyph of Disguise works as it currently does, since itā€™s really handy for taking screenshots like the above with different NPC races. Hopefully, it stays that way as opposed to a ā€œFUN DETECTEDā€ change of some kind, which always worries me.

This is a misconception, that i think the current blizzard just forgot about it and roll with it, just like forgetting trolls had a heel toe in zandalari

Before, any species of troll could be big or skinny, it was one of our options in the RTS, to evolve our darkspear trolls, so they got swole as wellā€¦

Forest trolls are the green ones, because they have moss covering their fur, in zulā€™aman you can find the skinny forest trolls, in green color - that green color not accessible to us darkspears

At the same time, you can find swole jungle trolls in zulā€™gurub

all trolls have it, their different color is because fur

i think only sand trolls donā€™t, or its too little

All trolls excluding Sand trolls have some fur. Itā€™s very fine and more like a velvet according to some lore.

The forest trolls have green colored moss covered furry skin.

Iā€™m actually unsure about the Zandalari these days.

(so therefore all trolls players are furries.)

We are six days from the Warcraft Direct.

When it comes to any potential race announcements, I canā€™t help but recall how nothing about Battle for Azeroth screamed AU Magā€™har and how the Manā€™ari (hyped as WoWā€™s first playable demons) were randomly inserted in Dragonflight. Granted itā€™s good to temper expectations, but it is something to consider.

Now when it comes to Forest Trolls themselves. I do feel that there is always a chance. We do have the Revantusk in the Horde. Though I have to admit that there is that part of me that feels that Midnight would be more likely for the Forest Troll announcement.

Though with how Patch 11.0.7 has Orweyna on the splash, I feel that the Harronir will be involved in 11.1 and I can easily the Harronir drawing in the interest of both Trolls and Night Elves. So there is a possibly of Forest Trolls getting involved, from the Revantusk joining their Horde allies in aiding the Harronir or other tribes investigating this new group or something.

At the very least with whatever Warcraft 2 announcement Blizzard will have should at least show us Forest Trolls at the event, especially since the context would likely be them fighting with the Horde.

This Wednesday is the Warcraft Direct and I would just love if it we had playable Forest Trolls announced. At the very least with whatever they do with War2, it will serve as a reminder that Forest Trolls have fought under the crimson banner of the Horde.

Now I do work when the stream goes live, so Iā€™ll be checking wowhead on my breaks/lunch, and Iā€™ll most likely share my thoughts when Iā€™m home.

Unexpectedness saw my work needing to change my schedule. So I ended up with the day off after all and did watch the Warcraft Direct live.

Now there were no playable race announcements. Though I did Forest Trolls in the Warcraft 2 Remaster announcement.

Anyways the following were announced:

  • Warcraft 1 & 2 Remaster.
  • Warcraft 3 2.0 which overhauls the the environments, lighting, revamps the user interface, and grants the use of Classic Warcraft 3 assets in War3 Reforged with the ability to mix and match,
    • You can play Warcraft 3 with the graphics it held when the game first came out.
    • You can play Warcraft 3 with itā€™s Reforged graphics.
    • The example they showed of the mix and match was Rexxar and Rohkan in their classic appearance while the NPCs were in their Reforged appearance.
  • Warcraft Rumble for the PC
  • Hearthstone announcements.
    • A Starcraft crossover, where the Starcraft universe is entering Hearthstone.
    • Into the Emerald Dream, The Shrouded City, and The Heroes of Time expansions throughout 2025.
  • WoW Classic
    • Season of Discovery Phase 7 - Naxxramas and new content with a Scarlet Crusade Instance, and the Adventures in Deadwind Pass.
    • Mists of Pandaria Classic.
    • Fresh Classic Progression Servers Coming on November 21st for PvP, Normal PvE, & Hardcore and will progress through BC.
  • WoW Retail
    • Patch 11.0.7 will launch on December 17th.
    • Patch 11.1.0 Undermine(d).
      ** Undermine has been been plunged into conflict between the four major Goblin cartels, Steamwheedle, Blackwater, Bilgewater, and, of course, the Venture Company.
      ** We will align ourselves with the group of our choice and run into notorious goblins like Monte Gazlowe, Renzik ā€œThe Shivā€, Baron Revilgaz, Marin Noggenfogger, and more.
      ** New Raid: Liberation of Undermine. Gallywix is the final boss.
      ** More details will emerge in the weeks ahead.
  • Special Announcement: Player Housing comes with Midnight.

It is revealed that the Magā€™har have been granted Hammerfall in the Arathi Highlands. Which honestly makes me wonder how things would go down between them and the Witherbark.

We know that the Witherbark arenā€™t fans of the Horde, but with Stormgarde rebuilt and the Magā€™har being more ā€œin your faceā€ā€¦ I wonder if they could reach some kind of compromise.
