It’s a little sad to be on the receiving end of transfers; it got so much pushback last time, but now the server is a lot more quiet and doesn’t have a culture to protect. An empty house waiting for government-subsidized tenants imported from abroad.
I understood some of the logic back then, you’d want someone to level on that realm as leveling there is a big difference but with the amount of boosts now you can buy I feel that argument doesn’t really mater same as stopping people from going from pve to pvp.
Where have a lied a single time champ?
Not hyperbole. Looking at player behavior and expecting players to act in the exact same fashion, instead of expecting them to act in the exact opposite manner. Players do not tend to take actions that will negatively impact themselves, and they expect Blizzard to force other players into the exact negatively impacting situations that they themselves do not want to be in.
“I never played cata, just ignore all the achieves I got during those couple years”
Yea, it’s a classic NIMBY argument.
Give the players tools and opportunity to correct it themselves while creating restrictions to incentivize them to balancing on their own.
If it works, great, if it doesn’t, then what other solution is there?
That isn’t what I said champ.
Throne of the Four Winds new content, Blackwing Descent new content, Heroic Bastion of Twilight new content, Heroic Firelands new content, Dragon Soul new content.
I never did those before classic. So how would I be trying to recapture something in which I had never done? Good attempt maybe you’ll get me the third time.
They did, players made the situation worse. They took them away, gave them back with restrictions from the best choice on an individual basis. The players took the next best choice, making the situation worse. They took them away again. Players then paid to continue to make it worse.
Give them the tools again, what will they do? What best for them. Restrict them so they can’t make the choice of what is best for them? They will stay exactly where they are, or pay to make the best choice anyway (if given the option). They will not move into a situation where it is worse for themselves.
The solutions people don’t enjoy and won’t take according to their historical actions. Like if you want balance WPvP take this free transfer to Grobbulus. We have faction restricted it can’t fall out of balance.
Or the ever-so-popular faction queue combined with the ever-popular merge all PvP realms. Where if you are on the majority faction you can’t play until someone else decides to log off. Don’t like it? Here take this free faction transfer to the minority side or take this free realm transfer to the newly merged PvE realm. This is assuming 100% of the Alliance PvP population actually wants WPvP and didn’t simply transfer to Benediction because it was the largest Alliance realm that so happened to be a psuedo-PvE realm.
(Historical retail and classic evidence suggest that given the option between the two, most would opt to go Horde PvE instead of Alliance PvP… this is around the time where the move for everyone to play Horde happened…and Classic is already trending in that direction. With talks in the Benediction leadership about going Horde already happening).
