Speaking as someone who dropped 2M in coinage for the spider mount, and feels they know what type of ugly is worth it… yeah it ain’t worth it…

/shrug I’ve never been one to buy mounts for a big sum of gold, I passed up cheaper mounts than this, dunno why I’d even think about grabbing this.

The Lightforged Warframe from Legion? 500k gold. Unlocked the rep, didn’t buy it.

The Kragwa frog mounts from BfA? 333k each, there are 3 of them. No thanks.

I have 639 mounts already. Don’t even care these days when I get another one, I ride it for 10 minutes and then put it away again.

My entire point is that they shouldn’t be removed at all, but okay. If something is only available for a limited time, whether it’s a week, a month or almost a year, it is tapping into FOMO. FOMO needs to go the way of the dodo.

FOMO isn’t real, it’s just people with poor impulse control. At some point you need to factor player accountability into the equation.

aften blizzard anticks as of late with the promao and tcg stuff free twicth mounts and Tyrael’s Charger selling it them making it a drop then giving it free

i don’t trust anything anymore at a certain point this 1.2 million gold mount will be free too

The best cure for FOMO is realizing there is literally hundreds of mount and thousands of gear mog/options. I’m not paying 1.2 million, despite having it easily, for a glorified +1 to mount count. Plus there is literally < 10 mounts that even matter currently. If it cant dragonride in applicable flying content, or vendor my stuff and repair my gear, it’s just a +1 to mount count.

I know people will hate me for this, but honestly making wow tokens was a mistake.

either people sink their gold into these items instead of gametime or spend real world money to buy gold FOR them.

Other players can though, I just don’t.
I’d never use it.

Yes, I do cycle through all my flying mounts and sometimes my ground mounts.

I mean FOMO is real, it’s just some old items return. Not all.

I do hope it goes away, I’ve give my left leg for people to earn items in the game forever

Is it a gold sink if it plays on FOMO to the degree of getting people to buy gold tokens? Probably not.

I am unlikely to ever buy a mount again, given how they are putting mounts that were previous purchases into the game via other means. I mean, I don’t object to it, it just means I won’t buy them. The last shop mount I got was a gift from my GM, kind heart that she is, but it would have to be something extraordinary for me to even consider paying out for a mount again with my hard earned money.

they needed more gold sink items in the game to drive down the price of that token - it is far too expensive for some people that use gold to pay for their game time.
