For the love of god, make LFR personal loot again

W/e, I’m done. I got my complaint out and the feedback I wanted to give, so if yall wanna keep fighting on here about morals and maturity and how people should just go do something else, feel free to. My opinion remains the same about LFR.

The only “solution” I could come up with is simple.

Keep group loot and everything the same but…

Remove the weekly lockout on LFR only.

Now people can farm transmog to their hearts desire.
Oh that high ilvl druid won the piece you wanted? Run it again.
An influx of starter gear wouldn’t really affect end game activities

they could maybe time gate it at the beginning of the season, but by week 8 or so, they should just remove the weekly lockout on LFR.

They should remove the weekly lockouts from all raid difficulties.

Convert LFR into a cinematic.

So every fight is now the Sylvanas encounter from Sanctum?

In LFR, current looting is the same as personal loot with you making the final roll instead of the game.

No, a full on cinematic.

You watch it once/week, don’t have to do anything, then are just given 2 primal chaos and 125 gold.

The Need/Greed system now, is the same as personal loot. With personal loot, the loot rolls just happend without you seeing it.

People are just to dumb to realize this lol.

They want to apply personal morality to the loot system. My desire for X is more important than your desire for Y. It’s not relevant when you lost the roll you would have lost if RNG PL was doing it for you. The odds don’t change.

Exactly. It’s amazing how many people don’t understand this.

This is the same reason the 1/3 pounder burger failed. People thought it was smaller than the Quarter Pounder :joy:. People are just dumb lol.

I’m saying the same thing, before Shadowlands ends, the end of personal loot has made ninjing legal in a system that’s not very important for developers and is good for new players with low ilvl.

In fact it is the most abusive, it is because of the loot dice system it did not help anything and it is nothing more than a devolution to the WoW system in vain.

I got loot I didn’t need with personal too, I don’t see how this solves anything. Working just fine. Someone with a higher ilvl in that slot could still win with personal loot. I’m not sure what people think changing it back would solve lol

There are actual differences between the two systems.

  1. There will never be loot that no one in the group could equip with personal loot. Need it for an upgrade is a different thing. But at least you could have equipped it rather than getting bows in a group with no hunters kind of thing.
  2. PL had built-in bad luck protection where GL does not. Which means that you can go literally for weeks seeing loot drop but never getting any where in PL the protection would kick in frequently enough that the time between drops was measure in bossed you defeated and got nothing, versus some variable time in the future where the rolls actually gave you something.
  3. You couldn’t load an addon/hack to mess with your “rolls” in PL.
  4. PL was more affected by how they designed loot tables than GL. Back in WoD, where they had 11 different versions of things was the loot system that matched way better with PL…where the thing would only pick rings and necks because there wasn’t anything else in the table for it to roll for the group. Narrowing the loot tables to be “more deterministic” and allow “focusing on encounters for specific items” killed one of PL’s pilars.

Trust me that it feels awful to run through LFR and roll on 6, 8, etc. pieces of gear every week and watch people roll 100’s over and over again…rather than having a pretty high chance of walking out of the raid with at least 1 piece (upgrade or not).

Add it running alts through it and having the same experience on 3, 5, etc. more alts?

It gets beyond awful.

I don’t know, at the VERY least Personal was dropping gear that people in the group can theoretically use. The fact we can go multiple bosses dropping four cloth pieces for our two clothies, or three of the same tier token for the two people on the token, or shields when no one in the group can equip a shield, or crossbows/bows for our one Hunters, etc. etc. If at the very most minimal least, Group Loot can only drop what is in the raid group, that’d be nice. This also has negatively impacted mog farming because I can run a full dungeon and end up with cloth, mail, and plate with no leather.

Forced Group Loot feels abysmal, and we (as a group that runs together) had a lot better time with Personal Loot. That’s anecdotal based on my experiences, but so far in this tier Group Loot makes me not want to raid and just stick to M+ because at least that will drop pieces someone in the party can actually use, regardless of if it’s an upgrade or not.
