This very much so doesn’t fix the active issue of it thinking targets are immune 5-10% of the time, causing you to entirely lose the window in the first place. And it’s a bandaid fix to the subterfuge bug as you also lose 6 seconds of using it when it goes on CD during Subter, and then have to waste the second Vanish immediately, AND hope it doesn’t immediately break again.
Not a fix (or even a workaround), but I’ve been playing Trickster just because I can at least still do damage when BtE decides bullet too fat to shoot out and I’m stuck rapidly trying to shoot it out until the opportunity window is gone.
Only issue is that Killing Spree becomes mandatory, which has novelty until you’re dropped off a cliff. I guess I’d rather die to stupid than be an impotent shooter.
It does not happen as often as before, like, barely now…
But The issue is BtE being falling on ‘‘cd’’ cause you used it .0x seconds after the window ended causing the game on your side to say ‘‘hey its not on cd’’…but the server is like ‘‘Nope man, it’s on cd’’…
Anyone that barely played outlaw knows this…
That bug happens after you used vanished while BtE shows ‘‘not’’ being on cd…but is on cd…
Fix : When you use vanish : BtE cd resets, falls off cd, ready to be used again…hence not cause issues.
Hopefully all of this makes sense now. and If does not…why not simply act like a human being and try to have a objective, constructive comment/conversation and explain to me what I am missing ?
Ive been playing Outlaw since day1 and I like to think I know what I’m talking about…but sometimes we there are realistically things you think you know…but do not.
On your side the game registered you sent a BtE before CD resets…
The server though gets the ping after the timer is over…
Hence your game thinks its not on CD, but the server says ‘‘Nay, nah, not hapenning…’’
Hence gaining stealth reseting BtE CD = telling the server ‘‘This skill is off CD now’’ = win.
On a basic lvl, it works for me…I can hardly think of a ‘‘why’’ it woul’dnt work.
Nothing will ever, ever…ever fix the latency to ‘‘Zero’’
This isn’t a client/server side issue that the reset on Vanish would fix. Nor is it a latency thing.
From what I’m understanding based on how the interaction with Coup releasing the bug most of the time, the game just flat either isn’t checking if BTE is off CD during the subterfuge window at times, or it’s not flagging the ability as being off CD/is unflagging it during the subter window for some reason.
Using Coup somehow is forcing the system to check again, and frees the ability for use during that same window.
This is a Blizzard poor coding issue. That’s why it has been broken multiple times now. Flagging a reset on the ability on restealthing won’t fix the immune problem because the CD isn’t the root problem. We’re just going to have this bug happening more often as ANOTHER mechanic is now refreshing the skill.
Two points of failure in a weak system doesn’t usually lead to a more robust feedback loop. It leads to twice as many failures.

People testing it have confirmed it seems to be an issue with a specific order of operations stemming from using Cheap shot after Blade Flurry from stealth, causing the system to not register the CP consumed for the reset on the system timer.
So, confirmed, resetting the skill actually would just create two points of failure for the same issue. The issue literally stems from a bug with stealth flagging not deducting the actual cooldown from the system side, just the user side.
Again, fix the root bug. Then we can talk about bandaiding the talent that shouldn’t exist in the first place.
Or just remove crackshot/subterfuge from Outlaw. That’d be great.
I stopped maining my rogue because of this. It would work most of the time, but enough times it wouldn’t that it was exasperating. I heard the sound, the shot went off, so why didn’t it work. Or the times it goes off but goes on cooldown when you think you’re in the window. >.<
