Wish we just got playable dragons
Maybe in FF.
The true end-game in WoW has always been showing off your sweet end-game gear. Which is technically a derivative of your point.
Absolutely agree here. Dracthyr should have had full model capability and it was a huge turn off of why I didnât decide to play them.
Maybe back in vanilla, but definitely not now. I saw people not even using SL transmogs in SL cuz it was mostly very very ugly.
Thatâs a huge wall of text. This forum consistently has the worst takes ever.
âI have the attention span of a gnat, therefore itâs bad.â
Thereâs a difference between a spin and a lie. A true spin doctor never lies.
You know whatâs pathetic? Dracthyr get what 4 transmog slots; shoulder, belt, tabard, and weapon? And yet there are some of those transmogs they canât even use.
Iâll say the same thing I said to FF14 with their new races theyâve added. If youâre not willing to put forth the effort for things like fitting armor, hairstyles etc. then donât even bother in the first place. Youâre just setting yourself up for failure every single time.
At least theyâre trying with Hrothgar and Viera. Itâs an acknowledgment of a shortcoming. With Dracthyr, WoW considers this shortcoming to be a feature.
Idk they just added those hairstyles in for Hrothgar and they cut their ears off because they didnât want them âclipping through the hairâ but itâs okay because weâre still going to make armor with capes and have miqote tails clip right through them.
Iâll always be of the opinion that having an option for a playable race is better than not. That doesnât mean that those races canât be improved, but having them playable-but-not-ideal is better than not playable at all.
The drakthyr will fade into reletive obscurity like gnomes, goblins, vulpera, kultirans, and pandaren.
Actually just chain items. =)
They could have done a lot better with Dracthyr generally, Locking them to a single class for one then not letting them Transmog seems like a punishment, Especially in a game where a significant part of the endgame is looking cool. I donât hate Dracthyr they are an ok race ( still a bit thin for my taste ) but these restrictions absolutely discourage me from creating and playing one.
Im guessing their idea was that there are soooo many customization options for the dracthyr that it would fill the void of needing tmog. Which it doesnât. lol
And donât get me wrong - the Dracthyr creation is pretty much the highest potential youâre going to get out of WoWâs decades-old engine. Itâs fantastic. But like you say⊠itâs not enough, after months of staring at your character.
