How do you even see who the enemy casts are targeting? Just say in a high m+ dungeon, 3 mobs are casting at the same time, you need to interrupt the cast that will result in a one shot (casts that arent targeting the tank). How the hell do you tell using the default Blizzard UI? or do you guys only do delves so it doesnt even matter.
I know you can see target of target in unitframe, but im burning down a big priority target and cant really switch my current target, also I arent gonna rotate through the 3 casters to see their frame because there simply isnt enough time.
The point is seeing spell name is not enough, for example, when playing hunter, everyone has used their interrupts, and you are at 30% health. Some mob is casting shadow bolt, you cant tell whether it is casting the bolt at you so you can feign death using Blizzard UI.
Speaking only for myself, the extent of my content leads only into low level keys. I tend to live more in the range of heroic and LFR. We’re having to see the cast ahead of time is not a priority. However, according to the newest information about what they’re doing to combat it would appear that the cast themselves if you are targeted to them will show you what they are doing rather than showing everything all at one time. I’m hopeful that combat is adjusted in a way that it doesn’t have a harsh effect on levels above where I play. However, I’m confident that any gamer who is capable of doing +15. Mythic will also have minimal issue without the add-on as they spend time working through the new mythic dungeons.
Easy, I go into the options, Turn on the settings to show me the in game name plates and watch for casters. Mouse over casting allows me to click on the nameplate and i press a button to cast my kick.
Easy.
Also, I look at the screen and what’s going on, not just my UI telling me how to play like you.
EDIT: to be fair, I use a Naga mouse and keybind everything to my thumb.
I just don’t do group content since having a million addons has become the standard. I’d go back to healing if it didn’t seem to take as much training as actual medical school.
/macro
look at player name
hope they dont have a wierd accent
go look up an accent guide
slowly type in it
mess up
get kicked for not responding because i was alt tabbed.
By the time I finish processing who they are targeting, how low they are, what ability it is, what abilities I have to stop/interupt it, its already off.
