In my college days… I am sad to admit that I have eaten Hamburger Helper without ground beef. It’s just really saucy macaroni.

Money spent on tires, football gear and craft supplies is better spent on guns and bullets, and raiding just isn’t the same if you can’t look like a demented dumpster-dwelling psychopath while you’re at it.

Our store had plenty of everything except toilet paper, most North Dakotans have fully stocked pantries and freezers, our house included. I bought a 12 pack of toilet paper last friday my daughter bought another this week, the only extra we bought was some coffee and pet food to see our furbabies through if we were holed up. So far it hasn’t happened although all the colleges are now closed classes at home, school has been closed for five days all events including sports have been cancelled.
And just like that the government shuts down the nation.

I accidentally stockpiled coffee beans. Forgot I had a kg bag in reserve and bought another when the current bag was almost finished. Then my fave brand/flavour was on special at half price so I had to get one 
Ready for any apocalypse, really. The fat reserves will do the rest.
Prepared for what? Y2k? Swine flu? Mad cow disease? Sars?

Worse comes to worse I can get everything I need to make P.F.Chang’s at home and I don’t mean the grocery store version of it.
Prepared in general.
Being prepared doesn’t mean going full prepper and maintaining an off-site stockpile in an underground bunker.
