I bought a bunch of stuff so I can bake.
So far i’ve made sourdough, banana bread, banana muffins, cupcakes, and nanaimo bars.
Scared the postal service might get affected , so ordered in advance for the next month
Rasberry cough , mimosa and some blue dream :S alongside some Blox gummies
if you have electricity.
Last week so many of the shelves at our local supermarket were empty. I was reaching for one of the last 4 tomato passatas, and a lady put her hand on my arm and said with a laugh, “Wait… should we be fighting over that?”
I laughed and replied, “Maybe!” And the man next to us said emphatically, “Yes, FIGHT!”
It was really funny, people just being humorous in a very strange situation.
lol that’s being a little extreme.
I went shopping today and so many shelves empty. I managed to get a few items but starting to make me nervous. I just hope this was because it’s Sunday plus the virus mess and that tomorrow new items come in.
They closed all the bars and restaurants
(dine in) in my state today.
something which i find concerning…
i live on a major highway.
my city isn’t in lockdown, but for the last couple of days there have been no supermarket delivery trucks, and no live-stock trucks.
the only trucks which are still out there, are cement mixers and gravel trucks.
food has stopped being delivered to stores.
Everything is just being delayed and world is spinning 50% slower . I work in renovation and im already affected by this “panic” . Freaking ceramic tiles are being delayed few days … Delivery still happening for everything , including food , just slower , so dont worry too much
I’ve been worried about this! My sister and I are renovating our house; the plans have just been drawn up by the Architect, and I’ve been worried that everything will slow down to a halt. We really need these renovations!
But health is more important.
So far we have a 2 day delay on the jobsite to give you an idea . Might be more , will know tomorrow morning .
If I thought I couldn’t get to the store for a couple of weeks, I’d have to get lots of wine and beer and perishables like milk, eggs and some fresh veggies. I usually have most foods stocked up a month in the big freezer and pantry at least normally.
So far we’re staying as much on a normal schedule as possible. With just two of us old folks we don’t need a lot and being in a densely served area in So. Cal. finding things hasn’t been a problem and I do enjoy getting out a bit, especially when my wife gives me that “How long have you been playing your game today.” look.
Well, that’s reassuring. At least being a vegetarian, there was plenty of soy beans and tofu around, so I stocked up on that.
Well I wish we could work something out, my husband hasn’t had work for a few weeks. Winter is slow normally for him, he’s self employed and does new homes or renovations, repair.
I’m a bit worried that no one will have the money to hire him, hoping this all blows over soon.
Peanut butter. Creamy. Chunky. Peanut butter!
…CHEESE!

Thats rough but the worst thing to do is worry , he probably has that covered enough to lose his hair.
(I know ive been in his shoes more than a few winters over the years). Be there for him is all you need to do .
