There is no reason to not let them have XP. Players have plenty of legitimate reasons to not run in a group so they straight up don’t do dungeons until they can solo them. Since we can only run them on normal with the followers it isn’t as if we’d get high level BIS gear. So what’s the big deal?

FFXIV’s implementation is nice, even if it takes longer to complete with NPCs. Sage Alphinaud occasionally standing in bad to heal me will never stop being funny.

I am looking forward to the follower dungeons, even with the xp nerf. I can see this be a great way to know the fights without bringing others to the dungeon. And I hope this gets implemented to lfr. I can learn the strategies as a tank before I have to tank in a normal lfr. And with this experience, I can even do other raid difficulty.

People mostly not discussing pros and cons of folower dungeona giving exp but stating how it was on ptr.
I think one day it will be a way to level. Not now tho
Temporary™ can be a few days, a few weeks, a few years and is still technically true as long as the restriction is removed or changed. In a few months time they may change it to 15 instance limit and the 10 instance limit being temporary™ is also still true.

It’s why I installed retail today. Really excited about this. But it needs to expand to heroic and mythic or it will be worthless. For now, excited to just try it tho.

Idk why ppl are crying about not being able to use this to level. Ijs does it REALLY need to be any easier to level a character in this game? Especially an alt? Ijs you can hit max lvl in 12 hours just by PUG groups, ive done it before.

Would it affect you if people had another way to level characters? Also why are you crying about people crying wanting this new feature to be a little bit more useful?

Well that’s the thing. Normal dungeons are kinda worthless, so not many people will be using this outside of novelty. If they judge the dynamic’s viability based on that, then they would be extremely misguided. They need to provide it for mythic before judging popularity.

training…so m+ players aren’t so frustrated
and toxic most of the time.
and some people simply prefer solo play…

Oh gotcha. I was thinking older dungeons too. So only available to level 58 and above toons?
Was picturing a trial of the crusader dungeon with AI. Could be cool. Or oculus!

maybe it’s not intended to completely
replace leveling in the world…
maybe they’ll adjust for that over time.

I expect the restriction to be remove within a couple of weeks if there are no stability issues.
