Flying Update in Shadowlands

Great news! I don’t have any interest in unlocking Draenor Pathfinder, but now I can’t wait to expore Draenor in SL.

Personally, I have always been a fan of getting flight at max level for that expansion. Once you hit max level, you can buy the books that will allow your alts to then fly as they level. You get one ground based play-through and then you can fly to make it faster on alts. It was my favorite version of getting flying.

As someone who has PF for WoD, Legion and BFA it doesn’t bother me one bit. I was able to fly when it was current and so could all my alts. Which made leveling them so much easier.

Them trying to have it both ways is what annoys me. First they say they want people to experience the content if they want to fly… Now it doesn’t matter? Okay then let us buy BFA flying with gold… Oh now it DOES matter? Pick one. Either make people put in effort, or don’t. Don’t make people put in effort and then have it be meaningless.

Absolutely ridiculous.

Please also address the BfA flying. As it stands, a new player will learn flying at level 30 but not be able to use it for 20 levels or more.

They dont want players hung up in OLD content anymore apparenlty.
How STUPID is it to be able to level thru the content to CURRENT in less than a week content, then have to spend a MONTH grinding out flight for it?
Youre really coming off as a bit vindictive, guy

its a video GAME…youre supposed to be having fun with YOUR game…not fretting yourself into a froth over mine.

Okay BFA content is old now though.

So, Pathfinding no longer has anything to do with the ability to fly. I’m assuming this means that for any characters that have already purchased the required riding skill, they will be able to fly in the appropriate zones at Shadowlands launch, and any characters that have not yet purchased the required riding skill to fly just need to purchase the skill at the appropriate character level?

Again…your issue is with blizzard, not me. Drop PF entirely. Im good with that.

So then stop replying to me.

it sounds like you can buy flight at level 30, but if you want the mounts you still do the grind

You clearly care about how I play because you’re trying to restrict my fun by wanting to put flying behind ridiculous gates. Why can’t you just be satisfied by just staying on the ground?

Just remove the range altogether IMO, if you can target them you should be able to shoot them. Flying in war mode should be like flying over a war zone IRL.

Did you just not play during BC, Wrath, Cata, or MoP? Did you whine and cry that flying was destroying your game? I HIGHLY doubt it…

Can you clarify if this means those of us who already have Pathfinder will be able to fly in those areas before 30, or is everyone now blocked from flying until level 30 in any location?

I’m guessing it means everyone is blocked until 30, but by saying that they are not required and that the achievement is still in place it could potentially mean that the achievement still functions as a way of being able to fly in those locations in addition to being able to fly everywhere at 30 (except maybe new zones in SL?).

I hope you don’t actual believe this nonsense you’re posting…

it sounds like no PF for flight…but for getting those mounts, though

Dude…dont ever use ‘rhyme’, ‘reason’ or anything remotely similar when making a point about this game or company ever again :joy: :+1:

I realized after I posted that that you can’t actually buy the flight training until 30 by the sounds of it anyway which would mean you can’t fly anywhere until 30.

Pathfinder would be much better without the stupid time-gating. I love getting flying for all characters in one fell swoop. I hate having to wait a year to be able to do that.
