Like I said, never played it, never cared to. Combat is terrible.

If you’ve never played it how do you know the combat is terrible? You’re starting to sound more and more like the unreliable narrator. You can’t back up anything you’ve said.
WoW, the most successful MMO ever, at its most successful had flying, without Pathfinder. Until WoD, the nearly universally acknowledged worst expac ever, flying at max level was the nature of the game, and most of the genre. WoW without flight is no better than any other MMO, and since the current dev team is trying to take the defining feature of my game away I refuse to pay Daddy Blizz for the “privilege” of being grounded.

GCD System is terrible.

Wow was the most popular MMO because it catered to casuals had nothing to do with Flying BTW. Lots of games had Flying before wow.
What a solid foundation to form an opinion about flying in that game.

Mounts aren’t even allowed in The Maw and there are no flight paths. Let alone flying.
Well I take that back. It seems there is one mount from a higher level Torghast achievement that can be used in The Maw. Happy Hunting.

You can buy the ability to use mounts for a short time in the maw.
Even then its ground only.
Hmm. I’ve missed that in my beta travels. I know you can kill mobs for a temporary 1 minute mount and buy a potion that lets you move quicker and in stealth.
We start every expansion grounded. From Burning Crusade on, we have always had to level through the content before flight was available.
I hope, certainly, that they will not time gate pathfinder for SL as long as they did in BfA, but being upset about being grounded in the early levels of an expansion is a waste of energy.
OP assumes I’ve done pathfinder. How quaint. I will actually fly more after the prepatch, since I never did the last 2 pathfinders either. Learn to love the ground I say.

But will it end the rest of the war on transportation? With the war on flight, the water strider nerf, the portal removal, level limits on using mage portals…heck, path design in the newer zones…Blizzard is waging a war on every method of getting from place to place efficiently.

Base flying at 30 (level 80-81 current), expert at 40 (100-101), with advanced being removed completely. All of the riding skills are effectively being pushed later in the leveling process, which will hopefully be counteracted by leveling being faster.
Well that makes sense for you I guess, you’re Gnome after all, heights must be really scary for you
