I was thinking, instead of having Battle Shout as a static buff, i.e. arbitrarily applied and lasting an hour, we make it more combat-centric.
Hear me out. For the most part, Battle shout will maintain its current functionality. What this change does is add flavor to an otherwise bland ability. Here’s how it would work:
Battle Shout 30 second cooldown
Increase the attack power of all raid and party members within 100 yards by 10% for 30 seconds. This effect is automatically refreshed while in combat.
Generates 10 rage.
The point is to make it a real battle cry that rallies the warrior and those around him. Instead of a static buff, the effect is maintained by the thrill and adrenaline of combat, and fades shortly after combat is over. Additionally it is a way to generate a little extra rage if charge is not an option. I think this model would fit the class fantasy much better than the current implementation of Battle Shout.
I’ve already run out of buttons I can easily reach; I don’t need more.

I don’t see the point, this doesn’t really make anything feel better, and it has the potential to do quite the opposite.

I think this could be neat if it were a talent option that all specs could make use out of as an option for slightly more dynamic rage generation. But personally I’d amend it to something like:
“Your shouts generate X rage when used in combat.”
No added buttons for bloat. Definitely adds class flavor. Would likely function similarly to old bloodrage (without the health loss) in a rotation.
Could be cool.
How about a talent that makes demoralizing shout daze all enemy’s for 2-3 seconds
No, just no. I still remember vanilla where battle shout lasted 1 min and that was extremely annoying.

Seems like the idea isn’t that popular. Oh well. I’m guessing those that are worried about button bloat aren’t going to be fans of the next xpack. From what I’ve read/seen Blizz will be making specs less unique thereby having abilities across more specs.
