Wrong, swiping was peak at the end of classic in NAXX.
Items were going for 200k gold in GDKPs.

The difference of end of classic NAXX and the “rare” 200k sword in the GDKP was the amount of PEOPLE swiping back then. Back then, sure people were swiping and some whale were swiping big amount of gold. But now, it’s almost everyone swiping. 20$ for 1000g is laughable with those consume price. So yes, the difference is now a lot more people are swiping if you compare to 2020 when only mainly whale were giga swiping and what not.
Swiping use to be something people were kinda “hiding” back then… Now everyone is talking about their gold they buy and why would they farm 24hours for 400g when they can use 10$ of their welfare check to get 400g lmao

People were bragging about how much gold they bought and spent.

My guild was LC so I personally wasnt doing gdkp runs in p1. Yet the prices were never an issue for me to bring full consumes each week.

It is really stupid easy for a warlock to make 100g per hour. And a lot of other classes tbh.
Exactly this. When DM came out I would just get high and farm for 2-3 hours each day. Very easy to get more than enough gold for raids
