This has always been a thing as long as I’ve played WoW. I’ve made over a million gold since launch only by farming for mats and I haven’t even spent that much time farming mats. Do better.

I think those are Rank 2 prices. Rank 1’s you can’t even give away and cost a fraction of what the mats to create them cost.

I think everyone wants Rank 3’s and think they are too good for anything else.

AH prices are purely set by the forces of supply and demand, blizzard doesn’t set them.

I do all my own farming because I refuse to pay a lot, I also don’t play the AH a lot so most of the gold I get is from WQ or the occasional sale of some of my herbs.

This isnt Blizzard gatekeeping though, its players dictating pricing. If you really can’t afford a flask then try to go without, some people care a lot more than others (particularly if you already struggle to survive/heal/DPS). I know people say consumables/enchants show the effort, and they do, but they by no means are dictating the success of your group to such a significant degree that they are required.

The player base is a fraction of what it once was, and is fractured further by Classic Era, SoD, SoM, Hardcore. Many more would tell ya the game is dead than would tell you the game is uh ‘thriving’. Literally millions more people would tell you the game is dead :laughing: Look at all the poor decisions with TWW alone, and it hasn’t even been a month lol. The bad taste in mouth decisions. The low effort decisions. Let alone DF and SL.

4k flasks in the first week of raiding is just laughable to me. Doesn’t really compare to the other death by 1000 cuts.
