During combustion we are using flamestrike nearly 2 times a second with enough haste.
If you play the game by mouse moving, which most people do, or if you for instance want to be able to mouseover dispel the affix this week than flamestrike @cursor becomes a complete headache that’s not fun to manage.
PLEASE make a talent option that allows flamestrike to be cast on the target directly.
It shouldn’t even be a talent, it’s should be the default baseline functionality of all reticle abilities in the game. Other games have been doing this for over a decade.
Welcome to the club lol. Until DF, Flamestrike didn’t contribute to heating up/hot streak, but could be spent by it…so there was this bizarro AOE rotation in SL where you had to shifting power mid combustion to keep it going. Now that that’s thankfully no longer a thing, and using Flamestrike in Combustion is more or less intended…this reticle/@cursor stuff needs to go. Insane that it hasn’t yet.
I can’t stress this enough, idk how this isn’t a priority. Maybe it’s not being talked about enough? I can admit I do not have the skill to move and keep a cursor macro and do good aoe damage. If I had this change I would be a killer fire mage

Give me the option to either target it manually or auto-target my target. Comet storm already does this. Do not understand Blizzard’s thinking on this.
When I play Frost, I would love this for Blizzard as well. Earthquake at target is super useful for my elemental shaman.
