[Fixed] No more gold for world quests, Theater Troupe/Nightfall in TWW

[Note: This wasn’t fixed until wowhead reported on it. Small indie company, btw.]

It’s all gone. None in boxes or on world quests.

We’re better off farming dungeons now instead of questing.

Phase Diving: yes, gold
Special Assignment World Quests: Yes, gold
Wriggling Pinnacle Cache: Yes, gold
Reputation Reward Cache: Yes, gold
Archives Cache: Yes, gold

Normal World Quests: Nothing
Awakening Machine: Nothing
Theater Troupe: Nothing
Nightfall: Nothing
Skyriding Races: Nothing

I just got 3-4k gold for turnin in a weekly quest on my alt.

There is none on world quests or from Theater Troupe/Nightfall. I haven’t done all the weekly content but the gold from most boxes have been severely nerfed.

I see the chests available as rewards, but the gold world quests up show nothing. Just looked at K’aresh and the World Quests Ugly Mirror, Phase Diving: Strange Storms, Phase Diving: Unmoored and Unwell show no rewards for doing them. Perserving Plush Pals on Dorn show nothing as well. In case it’s unintentional, I rather not do them to test it any rewards are given and it’s just a graphical issue..

ya.. same here.. i did a quest but it didnt gave any gold.. is this by design or is it a bug ?

The nerfs are a couple of weeks early I guess?

I’m a bit surprised the gold wasn’t replaced with resonance crystals (not that I need any more personally).

thats what i pretty much was doing this past month was gold quests on all my alts. man this blows

I’m very, very sad about this today…. It’s the “only” thing i do in Retail. If i can’t play WoW like i want…. whatever i want…. wherever i want… then, what’s the whole freaking point?

i still think it might be a bug, because the quests dont give any rewards.. that sure looks odd

Yes, all gold is removed from these as blizzard doesn’t want you to keep doing it.
And next expansion you’ll receive less gold for similar activities, as it happened in TWW.

I could be wrong, but didn’t they do this a few weeks before TWW launch as well? Either way, it’s a bit disappointing. I was planning to casually knock out some WQs for quick gold over the next few weeks while waiting for Midnight. Not much else to do now :confused:

Did they? I don’t recall, but I also wasn’t playing a whole lot towards the end of DF. Do you remember their reasoning?

It’s a bug, if it was intended behavior, they’d just reduce it to Midnight levels now, not do no reward.

Just checked, can confirm, not a single gold-dropping WQ in TWW zones.

I don’t think it is. Same happened in Dragonflight.
If you search in the forums, will probably find a thread where I complain about that.
