Correct. Alliance ask for a volunteer to hold druids before the gates have even opened.
Good riddance. BGs should be played to win, not viewed as a rep farm.

Playing AV with your 37 rogue? lol
This is a great idea if the goal is to drive up horde queue times as alliance just wonāt bother to play AV at all on their alts anymore, and thatās the only alliance left in there.
Iāve played AV a few hundred times at least and Iāve seen Ivus actually summoned around 5 times and not bug out once. The druids have been released most games and die most games to horde. When against the AV premades they never bothered with him.
Yeah, screw people who donāt play the way I like to play. Hey, no skin off my nose. Letās see what happens. I still think itās a terrible idea.
until actiblizzard fixes the map, all it will ever be is a rep farm for alliance.
Itās not an exploit, itās a feature. That way you can time the release of the druids to the release of the ram riders. If they go separately they each get killed easily, releasing them together greatly increases the chances they can make a difference.
Itās a useful feature that Blizzard put in the game.
They still get kited to the back of the horde zerg and killed (unless the horde are completely incompetent)
I said it increases the chances, it doesnāt make it certain that they will succeed. This is why you release them together, to give them the best possible chances and use them to mount an assault.
Itās certainly a long shot but better than just letting the druids just go off on their own.
Just because you CAN use this as a way to get a slight tactical advantage does not make this an intended mechanic. Nobody ever uses it for this reason either btw.
I use it for this reason and Iāve seen others do so too.
AV has tons of quirks. Are they features or are they bugs? Blizzard hasnāt fixed them or commented on them so we have to assume they are features. Otherwise if they were bugs/exploits they would have gotten fixed, right?
I mean, if bugs donāt get fixed then they are de facto features. So if Blizzard wants to step in and fix all these AV features then weāll know for sure. Until then itās yet another tool in the game.
There are literally tons of exploits in the game that have not been fixed, but are still considered reportable offenses. Your arguement is on par with sneaking onto someoneās property because they have a hole in their fence, and saying its not against the law because if it were they would have fixed the fence.
Ye fix the last bastion for alliance AV rep farming. Then nobody is gonna queue this trash bg ever again
Sure but not the druids. No one, to my knowledge, has ever been banned for doing it. The same goes for the backdoors in AV, single pulls on Vann or Drek, and many other such āfeaturesā.
If they are bugs or exploits then Blizzard should act on them. Since they arenāt policing them or fixing them then all these are features and should be used at will.
yes lets remove one of the last incentives for alliance to queue for AV
Well maybe if blizzard would fix the tree so he didnāt bug out when you summon him alliance would be more inclined to try to summon him.
If it wouldnāt screw over so many alliance I would actually be in favor of this just to see what it would do to the queue.
Iām not understanding this druid bug and what the OP meant by it.
If it means that even fewer people queue AV? Go for it.
IF queues reach 4-6 hours then most horde wont even be able to try and get a match in.
You go to the druids and turn in crystals. When they get enough they will head off to summon the tree guy. However, someone can keep talking to them and not stop and they will stay. People can continue to turn in crystals while the druids are stopped.
Some do this to hold the druids so they can be released at the same time as other troops, such as the ram riders. The druids and the riders are much stronger when combined like that and will have a better chance at actually getting to the summon point. Some people do it to allow extra turn-ins for rep.
Ally will assign somebody to talk to the druids in AV to keep them from running off after the set amount of storm crystals have been turned in for them to begin attempting to summon Treezus. The side effect of holding them in place is that this allows you to turn in an infinite amount of storm crystals for rep well after the summoning cap has been reached. This has become the ally AV meta. Turtle at SH and then SP to get as many turn ins as possible.
