Isn’t a lot of Naxx 40 mob and boss ability damage percentage based? I remember going into Naxx in BC with 40 70s and certain mechanics were still basically fatal.

Ob sanctum had them as does the bug trio in AQ 40.
If it didnt work in p1 (we had prot tanks) it wont work in naxx.
Fury prot works because the fights are shortened by excessive world buff and Consume stacking. Stacking furries gurantees the fight durations are normally sub 2 minutes.
Yes, warriors on longer fights would hit threat cap with a prot tank but it’s less important on fights where the tank gets good rage generation. Like patchwerk where a tank has almost infinite rage prot isn’t that terrible for threat gen if your raid isnt running every single consume and raid buffs.
False. Speaking as a Prot Warrior, if you know your rotation and gear appropriately… there are very few fights or players who where aggro is a massive concern… if you also have buffs like they do. At least among the majority of the playerbase. Top-end speedrunners are another breed of WoW entirely where Flasks are used as mana pots.
But Prot is still useless trash and people will let you know that endlessly once the content moves to farm status and they focus more on parsing than clearing the content. Better to have the healers burning a ton of extra mana for surplus threat than to not follow the meta designed around the highest-end guilds.
Yes, I’m very bitter about this. Most of the people who push for me to go Fury/Prot don’t even pull enough DPS to pressure me as Deep Prot. Yes, I’m aware I could pull more threat dual-wielding as Fury Prot, but it’s not worth the tradeoff in the groups I run with because they don’t do enough damage to require it.
I loathe this meta. Or rather, I loathe the people who follow the meta from a guide they read, and demand others follow it as well… without understanding any of the mechanics or rationale behind it.

Thats true, because neither will happen. Were a year in and there has been no dramatic raid tuning and people still think it might happen now for some reason

I come here for a chuckle every now and then, but aside from blue posts, there’s nothing of value on this sub-forum.
Technically the aq40 bugs aren’t a hard mode. It’s just harder to kill the bugs in one order over another. Hard mode makes the whole instance harder
It was the beginning of hard mode. Ulduar has the same kind of activatible stuff and those achievements were considered “hard mode”
“Hard mode” is the ulduar style where individual encounters have mechanics that trigger a tougher mode with different loot.
“Heroic” or “mythic” is when you switch the whole instance with a setting… though IIRC, at some point you’re able to switch it on a per-boss basis.

You are one of the few that realized this and I thank you. This thread is meant to point out how easy Naxx is compared to the vanilla version.
Of course it won’t happen. But it won’t stop people from complaining. I’ve been complaining since pre-beta forums about everything, and it still hasn’t happened … but i’m still going to complain …
Yeah but in phase 1, there were world buffs no?
Let’s throw world buffs out of the equation and introduce the fact that fights will be longer …
I’d kinda agree with you on Bug Trio if the loot was actually better like hard modes, as well as the actual difficulty.
The loot isn’t higher ilvl, but it is specific to which bug was killed last. So in a way, it is better on the harder setting (if the unique items were the ones your group wanted).
I know for instance the wand there is BiS (a small sidegrade over the ZG one)
