Has nothing to due with graphics settings, there’s something going on with packet loss. its in a weird place since its only on a certain zone, where no real activity is out in the zone this week.
I disabled it. Going to Ardenweald now.
Nope, didn’t help
Not dismissing that the issue exists. Just saying that it could very likely be on your end.
You absolutely have been.
It’s not just him, so it rules that out.
That would be me saying “the issue does not exist”. What I’ve been saying is: “the issue is most likely on your end”
Big difference.
But it doesn’t affect me or many others either. So does that rule Blizzard out too?
That disabled the fog stuffs? Darn. Was hoping that’d help, since it helped me.
Then I’d say post those packet logs in Tech Support and see if anyone can help. Maybe Blizz will finally get the info they need to fix it.
Wow it’s amazing how hostile some people are in this thread.
Like… people legit just trying to help, nope, evil apologists, it can’t possibly be on my end despite plenty of people reporting not having this same issue. NOPE Those people are just SHILLS and APOLOGISTS.
THat’s because you have a different route to the servers than he does, there seems to be a pattern with.
This can only really work with a trace IP, and where you are located. Doing a trace can isolate where the problem is and where the packet loss is happening.
I even turned my game into a SNES and turn off all the advanced graphical settings and such just so my eyes can cry for the horried horriblness i’m seeing. Still lags and stutters.
I think i just ruled out the graphics.
Yea this guy has been SO VERY helpful.
@support forums. Please help this person who is posting on General Forums for help and advice - Blizzard: Please help this person with his issue with the odd lag in the zone.
Again: There have been several “odd” issues when connecting to client/servers. Getting the attention with Blizzard has input on what your computer (client is doing) and what their server is doing.
But hey; keep posting here.
But that would affect all of SL as a whole, not just one zone, wouldn’t it? So there’s something specific going on with the coding for that zone in one direction or another creating the hiccup, right?
Hey or I could just not play at all. That would definitely solve my problem.
Bah, humbug! Well, I tried.
Well, like I said earlier, if you can post those logs of the packet loss over in Tech Support, it may help them finally fix it.
That would be your choice.
What happens when this problem starts happening to other Blizzard games you play as well and not World of Warcraft?
(Unless World of Warcraft is the one game you play from Blizzard)
You having no issue doesn’t mean nobody has this issue, or that it would be easily solvable on our end.
Alright. Let’s go though the examples here.
(Before anybody else responds, i’m simply telling him as if he’s suggesting those things in your quotes of yours)
Did. Still didn’t fix the Stutter and delays.
I have an AMD Ryzen 7 3800 XT OC’ed to 4.1 ghz with 64 GB of DDR4 3200 Mhz of Ram, a NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1060, And the game is installed on an SSD.
GTX 1060 doesn’t have Raytracing capabilities. So unless Blizzard is okay with me installing Reshade with Marty Mcfly’s ray tracing presets, it’s perma off.
No NVIDIA Driver crashed on me in any zone or in WoW or any game so far.
Literally just now, i got people chatting in the World Chat about Ardenweald being pretty bad and laggy.
I think we ruled out this possibility of being a graphical problem at this point.
You did and I appreciate it.
There is one common thing happening some people are not experiencing it and some are not. That means s few things could be happening.
Back end could be acting wonky, though i don’t think its that because some people are not experiencing it.
Which leads me to a point en route to the servers which everyone is sharing to get a packet loss. though im perplexed at why no actual latency isnt being displayed because of said packet loss.
One way or the other, there is lots of input lag in ardenweild for a lot of people.
