First week let down

Yeah it’s a fine line, I don’t want to “be forced,” to do the entire chain the first day to avoid getting behind. But then again I didn’t even touch the zone for a couple day because of lag and I still go it done in like an hour today when I started.

Obviously they won’t do a mid-week release so I don’t knwo what the answer is.

I haven’t even finished the available story quests

Yes but nobody cares about story quests. I was on snooze in S1 so I tapped the button for S2. G2G.

If it doesn’t prevent me from getting into a raid or doing a dungeon then it can sit.

Also you can’t finish the current story. You have a week to wait and have had four days to get to your stop point.

There was no rushing through this content. I did it over 2 days: 2 hours day 1, 1 hour day 2… Yea, there is not much at all, so let’s not pretend like there is a weeks worth of content here.

These are the same picture Guthild.

A complaint about a thing doesn’t equate to depression or instability. And this has been the refrain of WoW die-hards for decades.

“You have a problem, I don’t” has essentially been a defense of poor design for a long time.

I actually said in the third sentence of that response…
Ok, it’s mental instability.

Still, it’s weird to complain about downtime in a game with multiple things to do, if you choose.

What other suggestions do you have to do, just curious?

Most have overlooked those options and/or deemed them undesirable. That is my first assumption when a complaint about a lack of things to do arises.

Not depression or another mental illness.

No offense, really…I’m not trying to insult or start anything, but from what I initially read…it sounded like depression.

If that’s not the case, my apologies.

I mean I wasn’t the target of the alleged mental illness so I don’t take offense. I’ve just been here long enough to see a few dozen of the same handwaves.

I’d rate it as a step above “this game just isn’t for you” and “can I have your gold?” on the insult meter though. It’s just routine though fairly targeted or personal in this regard I guess?

If you are asking me… because I will not be doing Undermine until about a month from now.

I do things with my guild. Like working on guild achievements. Work with others in my guild on PvP.

I also play this game with my family, so we normally do older content and finish up quest lines that we may have missed or ignored.

Work on my many many alts.

Run follower dungeons to understand the mechanics and level other toons.

Oof lol.

I’m kinda not understanding how using the word “depression” could evoke being insulted.

But again, to everyone that is in this thread, I apologize. No offense meant.

Why? I put the NPC on leader and don’t really fight until phase two. It’s my way of learning…may not be everyone’s. :woman_shrugging:

Da fudge, you are on my server lol.

It’s like seeing a unicorn.

Ah ok – I mean those are great suggestions for people but my take on it is, I like new stuff and new challenges.

None of those are bad ideas, but for me:

  1. My guild is on break until S2 Raiding starts.
  2. I am not a big alt person
  3. Dungeons are boring to me (done them over and over)
  4. I don’t PVP
  5. I don’t seek out mounts, pets, toys, mogs or achievements
  6. Older content is relegated to my classic side of the house.
  7. All of my cooking, fishing, professions are 100% full
  8. Tons of gold

The reason I enjoy new content is I’ve been doing this game since 2004…so most of the above stuff (except guild) I’ve done (and kind of redoing in classic). Hopefully that makes sense.

I’m just curious. I wonder what percentage of the players made it through all the content this week, including what ever all the cartels are offering?

Nothing wrong with how you learn Guthild don’t mind the person that doesn’t play WoW at all. It’s not worth your time.

every new season is a let down - you have to give up the fun you were having being fully geared and not worrying about farming gear and go back to the salt mines and grind it all out again so that you can have fun again in 3-4 months.

im wondering what the gearing loop with Fellowship will look like? it seems as though there is no timegate on gearing whatsoever, you just farm the highest ilvl gear from the actual dungeons with no lockout. Also, all gear is the same upgrade track, so you can basically get a piece of gear in a +5 and upgrade it all the way to max, which seems refreshing,

i wish blizzard would remove upgrade tracks - so if we get a piece of gear one time, we dont have to farm it again.

farming the same piece at champion track, then again at hero track, then praying to RNG gods to get it as myth track in your vault feels very very bad.
