Imps in valley of trials. It’s going to kill an Orc Warlock.
The quest for your Imp Demon requires you to kill them and that quest comes earlier than the actual non class quest.

I’m going with one of the Defias in the human starting area or possibly a Grell in the Orc starting area.
I always had issues with the murlocs near Goldshire…
And the Scarlet Crusade guys in the farms in Tirisfal.
Some of you are giving the NE starting area to much credit. Neither my hunter or priest died there in Vanilla, and hunter is the weaksauce till you get a pet. And I didn’t know how to play…
My money is on the defias in the garden in Northshire Abby. They have murdered many unexpecting nooblet humans in their day!
Human starting area: Only the Deifas and the kobalds in the mine were hostile.
Dwarf/Gnome area: The Ice Trolls were the only hostile MOBS
Orc/Troll area: The Grels and Felhunters were hostile.
Tauren area: The Quilboar and some of the critters were hostile. (The cats mostly) I can’t remember. It’s been too long.
Elf area: The spiders in the cave definitely but I can’t remember if anything else was as I was never an elf person.
Just the spiders, you’re spot on.
Whatever random starting zone mob that gets targeted by a player who happens to get major lag or disconnected because way too many people are connecting and the servers aren’t handling it well. It’ll be within the first minute of launch.
I mean if we are being honest it will be literally any of the starter mobs. Someone will try and instag something that spawned at 40% life and die lol.
I expect the first person to be killed by a mob will be a human male paladin as he runs straight to the pack of hostile defias mobs because he didn’t bother reading the quest text and thinks he can just do a mass pull because “it’s only the first area of the game.”
I usually don’t die until fighting a named mob. With that said I’ll probably die to Goiter Gotis in Redridge. Those 3 second stuns are brutal.
I think the grells where still yellow back in classic, its the spiders that where red.
This is a really good call. I would say this or the spiders in Tirisfal. The mine the UD have to go in have a few areas where spiders gang up on you.
Hmmmm. That’s a close one between the two, IMO. I’m leaning with you but the UD spiders could give a first kill, too.
Fargodeep Mine in Elwynn, respawn time on the Kobalds early on in high populations was brutal.
Didn’t they release a statistic that those Defias mobs had killed more players than any other mob on the game?
I tried to Google it, and I think it was the defias pillagers on the list. Those were the casters in moonbrook, and the mine, that could cast fireballs at a higher rank than anything else.
I remember them hitting for 90+ damage, and if anything else pulled with them you were almost guaranteed death if alone.
I think numbers will be large enough to thwart the Scorpids.
The Vile Familiars, and them shooting at you from miles away, however, I think will do the trick.
The players killing the servers.
Yea, my money is on the defias bandits in the farm/garden and along the river in Northshire abbey. Some BAF, and others are just sometimes so close together that you’ll just body pull more than you intend.
Yup, it’s an awful part of a starting area. You think you get one, then another joins, then a 3rd from behind and only a Pally can survive 3 at once… providing that they did the kabold chain first and are around level 4-5.
Hogger may not be the first, but he’s going to quickly pile up a stack of corpses as non-heirloomed noobs realize what a real elite is all about.
