I doubt anyone is being forced to stay against their will. Why not find a company that fits your ideals?

There is an interesting way this comes into play. Minimum wage impacts how much a any business has to pay it’s employees. It doesn’t matter if it’s a chain or Ma & Pa owned. Right now Unions are pushing hard for the $15 universal MW. The increase will be passed down to customers to cover the cost and/or employees cut.

Do unions push for the increase to $15 to look out for the little guy? Not exactly. Union contracts are tied to whatever the current MW is, so increase MW = increase union pay = increase union dues.

Not just this, but they also know it prices out the competition.

Sure. If you can’t afford to pay 5 or 10 extra dollars for a video game you shouldn’t be playing video games anyways. You have more important things going on in life.

asking more for a product in decline is kinda weird tbf. i dont mind paying more but they gotta show the goods first

A business that can’t afford to pay its employees a livable wage doesn’t deserve to operate, and less than $15 is not livable in most of the country.

most of this is just union busting propaganda anyways. most businesses. especially one like ATVI can 100% survive with a union without increasing prices they just choose to so everyone is dissuaded from supporting human beings getting paid a fair wage lol.

I pay 6 months and every pre orders followed by collectors edition later on

Your general discussion colleagues, including yourself and op, will be “cheering” cause of unions but coming $25 subs, $60-$70 expansions, $45 character transfers, etc etc

You’ll be the first ones to rant “why are prices going up for less quality!!!111!1”

Clark, you have a really, really bad habit of being unable to tell that more than one person with more than one opinion uses this forum.

Overtime can if that’s the case

Nah I’ll continue to cheer on the union. And I’ll continue with the take that if you cannot afford a price increase on a video game you probably shouldn’t be grinding in-game and work on grinding in real life.

Do you actually think that every business offers overtime?

Most of the places that have to be held to a minimum wage don’t even offer full time positions.

As long as companies take advantage of their workers, there is a need for unions.

I’m skeptical they’d increase monthly fees on a 17 year old game. I think it’s more likely that those costs will be transferred to customers via newer products. Although it wouldn’t surprise me if they also reduced their investment in WoW content as an additional means of absorbing that cost.

So as long as humanity exists, then.

It’s hilarious watching Musk and Bezos become conservative icons when they were liberal ones yesterday. They switched political philosophies right around when their companies started unionizing… a coincidence, I’m sure
