First disintegrate after landing gets interrupted

I’m wondering if this is a bug with the game or of I have a config or ui issue causing this. For some reason after I land from soar if I cast disintegrate about 60-80% of the time it just immediately stops casting. Then it works perfect until I mount again. It seems to happen more frequently if I use chosen identity, but it also happens if I just stay in dragon form. Really takes the wind out of my wings while questing.

Is this a known issue? I’m only really using consoleport but it happens even with that disabled. Thanks!

Never had this happen

I get this now and then after a hover too.

Yeah I’ve not had this happen either, but I don’t do a lot of open world stuff and would also never open with a disintegrate so it could very well be a real thing.

Haven’t been doing too much open world content on my Evoker lately so dunno. I haven’t encountered the issue in the Beta either, so maybe a bug for this version that’ll get ironed out once we’re at build parity with the Beta?

You mean that friendly squirrel with 20k HP eats the full fury of your eternity surge? How rude.

Lol. I always open with a SStar. The squirrel shouldn’t have to watch me casting, it’s inhumane.

I think what’s happening here is that there’s a bit of lag as the server is catching up to the client?

You land on your screen, but on the server you are still flying.
So you start to cast Disintegrate, and THEN the server catches up that you landed, so it pings that you land, and that interrupts the Disintegrate.

This is assuming you are casting Disintegrate like, INSTANTLY after you land.

For me what happens is that I cast hover, then disintigrate immediately afterwards and the disintigrate only lasts for one tick. I can’t reproduce this but it seems to happen very occasionally when I cast disintigrate very quickly after hover, usually in dungeons or raids.

So I think this is lag related. It was happening a bunch in the pre patch event zones but when I started questing in normal dragonflight zones it wasn’t a problem anymore. For clarity it doesn’t only happen if I open with disintegrate, it doesn’t have to be the first spell cast it’s just that it only seems to happen the first time I cast it after landing.
