I agree with making it a static cooldown, but I’d shoot for 1min instead. It’d also get rid of Ignite as a Mastery and make it a small bonus as a standalone talent because it’s extremely clear they cannot balance it.
Flamestrike talents aren’t what’s gimping our single target at the cost of AoE, it’s Living Bomb where we need to invest 7 points just to do mediocre AoE with it. Quickflame and Mark of the Firelord is all that matters when it comes to Flamestrike because every other talent that buffs it, also interacts with Pyroblast with the exception of Majesty of the Phoenix that’s now very bad.
Honestly FF SKB is really fun to play mechanically - I just wish there was some way of electing to tone down the AoE focus in favor of ST/raid viability.
Good lord though do I hate this iteration of Living Bomb. Passive damage upon passive damage, while feeling resource / active ability starved outside of Combust because you sank 7 talents into the thing. That whole side of the tree needs a complete overhaul and design re-envisioning.
YES! A talent that actually feels like you are getting a gameplay altering CHOICE.
Some people hate it and I get that. But I love it because I miss old Pyroblast way more than the machine gun Legion Pyros that Fire has had forever now.
I said somewhere else, if they ever do a Fire talents revamp, I’d love if they gave us the CHOICE between fewer Pyroblast casts but bigger damage per cast vs. the high APM machine gun Pyroblast gameplay we’re stuck with now. So both styles of Fire gameplay are expressed in the tree.
Resurrecting this to add that I’d reaaaallly like to see SKB reverted to 8 stacks (hell, I’d take 9), with UI given a bump of some sort to keep things competitive. The break in cadence where you’re stuck spamming FFB for those last stacks just feels so out of place, and it would really give FF the leg up it needs.
