I’ve leveled 5 classes to 80 all with the same ilvl and fire Mage absolutely SUCKS!
All other classes were a joy but this is nothing but a crappy chore.

Doesn’t get much better, I’m afraid… lol. Needs like a 15% aura buff to even be competitive right now.

Came in, hoping not to read this. Thinking maybe im just playing wrong… But nope. Yeah, fire dps SUCKS. I have to hit like every ability, along with all the crits to kill one kobold, that my easily surviving Unholy DK, could burst through instantly. Worst part is that this toon actually has better Ilevel than my DK did! Fix this BLIZZ. Also, did I mention our survivability sucks???

Yeah this is awful. In DF i was climbing in Solo shuffle pretty high. I have yet to win a round of Solo shuffle. I am consistently lower DPS than everyone else. I’ve been playing Fire mage since Shadowlands, I know my rotation like the back of my hand. I’ve been maximizing my burst windows, and yet still just not doing damage.
Blizzard needs to do something or Fire is just going to be garbage all season.

i mean fire mage was already bad in DF. its just getting worse, shadowland was a great time for fire mages

Fire Mage is in such an unacceptable place it’s unreal that it was allowed to get this bad, and after multiple tuning passes, nothing substantial was addressed.
The bones are there for the spec I like, and I assume, many of my fellow spicy bois and gals enjoy. Combustion still does combustion things, it’s still fun to push all the light up buttons, and hey we get to hang out with a cool bird now if we run Sunfury. But the numbers simply aren’t up to par.
Fire Mage is my favorite spec. Pyromancer is my favorite class fantasy. I really hope Fire Mage damage gets addressed (especially in PvP) because I don’t want to play frost mage, and realistically, with how oppressive it is, I don’t think people in my BGs or arenas want that either.

DF fire mage was pretty good imo. I was able to climb a good bit in Solo and RBGs
Fire was never a good leveling spec, so it’s no surprise it feels extra bad now with how undertuned it is.

News to me.
Like I said, I had zero issues in PvP or PvE as fire in DF. 
Unless a big stream keep making video about fire mage bieng bad and telling people to unsub

It was meta in highkeys all of df
A.) “Was good so it can be bad now” is a bad take in any situation.
B.) At the moment Warcraft Logs is showing Aug Evokers are beating Fire Mage and Destro Warlock in Dps for Nerub-ar Palace… they need some major help.
This might change by the end of the week as more ACL’s get put into the system, but competing in damage with a spec that’s designed to have low damage (supplemented by them boosting others) is awful.
