Fire Mage 12% Damage Increase

And yet on the Datamined changes I don’t see these buffs listed, only the bugfix to Barrier and increase to Pyroclasm buff duration. Am I missing something or did Blizzard forget to actually buff Fire’s Damage by 12%? What’s more real, the Blue Notes or the datamined numbers?

Also what do people think of this change?? Fire’s definitely been the worst of the three Mage Specializations, is a 12% damage buff, as welcome as it is, enough to bring it up to par?

It’s substantial enough to make a difference but given that the new tier set forces a Pyroclasm focused playstyle, it’s DoA for me.

Probably not considering taking Pyroclasm today is around a 5% loss over current talent builds, but I might be wrong.

It doesn’t fix the lack of consistent damage for single/aoe outside of combustion or just better ways to do aoe in general… everything is rng. outside of combustion want to use flamestrike or any other lack luster talents we have with a low proc chance? gl..

On PTR, ignoring the set and making the pre-patch talent choices actually performed a little better than using the set bonus and talents… so yeah…
