Hey y’all-
I’ve been loitering around MG (and before that, WRA) for many years, and I’ve always wanted to see a matchmaking “hub” of sorts where folks can browse roleplay advertisements, submit story hooks, check out guild recruitments, and see upcoming roleplay events. Nothing beats the rush of random walk-up roleplay that just fits so perfectly, but it can often be very difficult to be in the right place at the right time. With that in mind, I decided to create a project I’m lovingly calling Story.
Story isn’t meant to replace in-game RP, guild communities, or the forums. Instead, it’s designed to complement them by giving roleplayers a dedicated place to connect, advertise the kinds of stories they’re looking to tell, recruit for guilds, share events, and hopefully meet new writing partners.
The server includes:
- Structured RP listings for finding story partners
- Guild recruitment
- Community event postings
- Customizable roles to help you find compatible writers and interests
But as you can imagine, there’s not much to scratch at right now as I’m just beginning to bring this vision to life. As such, I’d like to extend an invitation to a limited number of people who would be interested in checking it out: browsing around, posting your own ads, and providing feedback to help me refine the server.
If you join, I’d especially appreciate your thoughts on the organization, usability, and any features you’d like to see added in the future. I’m excited to see where Story goes, but I also know that communities like this aren’t built overnight. They grow because people are willing to invest a little of their time, share ideas, and help create a welcoming place for others.
Whether you stop by to browse, post an ad, recruit for your guild, or simply offer feedback, every bit of participation helps shape what Story can become. The world (of Warcraft) is so incredibly vast and it’s my hope that this makes connecting with other roleplayers a little bit easier.
