This sucks, a lot of timewalking nerds were hoping the Mage Tower would be like Legion M+ (i.e., not a timewalking mode) for precisely this reason. Now that there are real rewards attached to it, all the old OP stuff is going to get nerfed

On the plus side, a certain other game just put out itā€™s best expansion yet, and has another brand new xmas event with new rewards, not the same regurgitated content for the last 10 years. Im done with WoW, unsubbed. They are so clueless. This event was the last straw. They want subscrubers back so they make an event everyone wants, but make it only for the top 1% of people. Itā€™s like they just cant help themselves. And no communication. No telling us if or when they are making changes. They havent changed at all.

Not going to lie, I am going to miss my ole Crusader Enchants on my melee weapons. Stinks I wasnā€™t even participating in doing the Mage Tower this go around and my alts are adversally effected by this change from players absusing the enchant.

You probably missed the part where you used to be able to get multiple applications of the buff by using it in single stacks. This particular exploit was one that was actually hotfixed in legion but the fact that you can no longer use it in the TW version still remains.

Yeah as soon as I heard about how easy Fury was last night I knew I immediately had to do it because of Blizzards track record with these sorts of things. Iā€™m glad I did. Could see this coming a mile away from this company.

This is a valid point.

However, thereā€™s a serious PR issue involved when they do not test the content on the ptr, publically admit some challenges are more difficult than intended, and then the first changes we see are stealth nerfs to the workarounds people have found for challenges that again, they admit are in some cases overtuned.

And Blizzard needs literally all the PR help they can get right now.

iā€™m happy for low level PVP, crusader enchant was OP at low levels in BGs, but sorry for everyone doing the mage tower and that it had to come to this to get crusader finally nerfed.
