Nomnomhc (everyone calls him Nom) is a legend on the Classic Hardcore scene (death = delete), and just a few minutes ago he hit 60 on his next-to-last hardcore class to hit 60 (a shaman- his only horde).
Now he has until the start of TBC to get his last class- a 44 warlock - to 60. He hasn’t played the class much, and he’s had a number of near-deaths on this toon.
If you want to follow the drama of his fight for his last 60, you can at his stream, linked here:

You can’t use soulstone under HC rules. Or bubblehearth.

Does the hardcore challenge just kinda end upon dinging 60? The game doesnt seem to lend itself well to hardcore past just levelling.
Hardcore would be completely impossible on a pvp server. Even on pve servers, there are trolls who go to heroic lengths to try to kill hardcore characters- such as hiding a pvp-flagged gnome in the body of Ratchet flight masters, and, when the hardcore guy clicks on him, he flags himself as having engaged in pvp and the guards kill him. There’s one troll in particular who kites Teremus to Stormwind every day and makes a special point to try to kill any HC streamers along the way.
On a pvp server, those same guys would kill all HC toons with their 60s.
Nah mate there has been success on a rogue at least lol
That success is completely dependent upon other people allowing it to happen, though. That one 60 griefer on Bloodsail Bucaneers would never let it happen if it were a pvp server, unless maybe if you didn’t let it be known you were doing HC. But most HC players like to stream their runs.
well with a rogue its not that hard to escape people so that helps
Nom just completed the challenge! Great player and a great guy!
It’s called Hardcore, not CareBearcore.
