They’re implied to live ‘outside the cycle’ of normal mortal races. At least at the beginning, they were.
So even if they’re ‘dead’, they also kinda aren’t, and are susceptible to returning.
Yshaarj is the only one that is confirmed to be 100% dead, and even after all those years, his heart remained alive and was used by Garrosh.
Afterwards though, it was depleted of power and the last remnants of Yshaarj “truly” died.
Even N’zoth is currently ‘unknown’ in regards to status- he’s likely not dead.
" N’Zoth’s aptitude for manipulation has made some fans skeptical of how final its defeat really was, skepticism which has not been discouraged by development members. "
Y’sharrj’s heart was still beating. It only stopped once Garrosh was stopped from sipping on that Black Blood Juice.
That is the only one we can truly say is ‘dead’, which is great because it was known as the mightiest of the Old Gods. It’s heart alone was enough to corrupt the entirety of Pandaria, imagine what it could do if it had it’s full strength.
N’zoth, I’m not sold on. It is the most cunning of the bunch and seems like it has a pretty slow burn plan in the works. An all out assault isn’t characteristic of it and if Warcraft has taught me anything, it’s that things have an issue with staying dead.
The player characters are no Titans, I imagine the best we can manage is delaying them for a time. At least for now.
Iridikron will be back in the Last Titan when we revisit Northrend.
Iridikron’s Lair is in a place called “Harrowsdeep,” massive underground tunnels that he’s turned into a maze to reach the main chamber. It was situated under Northrend during the War of the Scaleborn (pre Sundering).
With us revisiting Northrend I wouldn’t be surprised if this is made into a zone for the expansion.
Really curious how Iridikron is going to react when he learns the titans are already dead, and the only ones he’s freeing is the guy who killed them and Illidan. Think they’ll all be friends?
Ofc the dirt dragon would know all this info if he would’ve stopped monologuing and listen to us.
“The Last Titan” expansion name implies all the other Titans are killed and Azeroth is the last.
Maybe you are onto something with this train of thought on how that is going to occur.
The last titan could also be Sargeras. I imagine Anduin will somehow team up with “the last titan” to stop the void incursion as Anduin seems to be the physical embodiment of light with Xal’atath being physical embodiment of the void.
I know some people don’t want to accept it but the trilogy will end with Anduin saving everyone.
I’m still hoping they change up the script a bit and instead of xalatath being big brain 5000 moved ahead who’s gunna inevitabley betray or use iridikron as a tool
I want him to be the one using the other one, just consumes her for her power later on and he gets super void charged so we have a proper giant monster dragon fight
It would be weird if we fight him before we fight Xalatath because he gave her the big power boost, and I think they’ve said we’re not fighting Xalatath this expansion.
