FFXIV now has tacos. Does WoW have tacos?

She’s responsible for DRK most notably, yeah? I’m terrible with the names of the devs, I just game.

It needs more pineapple but sure.

If we can have noodle carts we can have taco stands as well. How crazy fun would that be as a way to give out food to a group.

Yes.

After Endwalker, she got promoted and they had someone else write Dawntrail. We are suffering from her success lol.

My guild has several Taco’s

vulpera tacos :yum:

Taco?

I prefer Burritos. Lets go.

wow this is my new favorite song

It 100% happens with male characters.

She wrote coarthas in arr, drk (all of them), half of stormblood, most of shadowbringers, most of endwalker, and half of dawntrial.

She’s been the leader writer for awhile and is incredibly good at handling complex emotions of loss and trauma.

Yeah. I think she’s great at character development in particular, a clear strong suit.

I do have to wonder what her personal life is like. It’s none of my business but because able to write about such things has to have some level of experience I feel like. Sure it’s fiction but it feels so real that some of it surely has to be derived from real experiences? Some of her quests has resonated with me so strongly and things I’ve experienced it’s crazy. She’s straight up one of my favorite writers and if she wrote a book even outside of the FFXIV universe I would read it. Idk if any one writer has made me cry as much as she has.

I can speak on this a bit, as a writer.

Excellent character developers spend a lot of time thinking about dialogue and monologue. Not all of our experience comes from firsthand account in reality, so much as it branches naturally from our perception of how these events would play out. Spend enough time in these trenches and you kind-of get a feel for how people wind up in the sort of headspaces they do.

It isn’t necessary that someone in the WoL’s position would be distraught by a thankless position. It is relatable, though. You can come to these sort of conclusions by just following dialogue chains either in your head or in a notepad.

It’s like conducting thought experiments for the sake of telling a compelling narrative.

Or, to TLDR, I wouldn’t worry too much about her. At worst I suspect she spends too much time in her own head like me.

So, so many questions with this picture, none of which have to do with the pizza or the can of coca-cola:

  1. Since when do Orcs have Tauren horns?

  2. Since when do Orcs have elven ears?

  3. Since when do Orcs have troll tusks?

  4. If we were to see the back of this Orc, would we see a vulpera tail?

I am a very confused bovine right now.

Mood. But I still don’t think I could write as well about loss and trauam without having experienced them first hand.

Also, making a new post so it doesn’t get hidden as I think this is important.

I think a lot of modern writers have some interest in and experience with online roleplaying. The Expanse is based loosely on a book that is based loosely (less loosely) on a series of Forum RP. While roleplaying online can have some… serious deviance in quality from person to person, it can really help a prospective writer get an idea of how people would expect themselves to act in fantastical scenarios.

We get to pick and choose what we personally include from what we learn, which is how things get refined, but the experience is still quite valuable in my opinion. Same concept as ‘practicing’ with dialogues and monologues, but with other perspectives and an element of surprise added.

I think we need some baseline, sure. But most adults experience loss of some kind.

On another note, I really appreciate whoever handled animations in DT. Writing aside, the cinematic animations have been phenomenal. A notable step up even from EW, which had done a good job with them too.

Hmmm darn i may have skipped it.
I think i would have remembered goin on a date with the broody goth giraffe-elf on my Dad-Cat.

Obviously it is an Orc Demon Hunter.

I want a magic pizza too; it seems that he has a slice but the pizza is whole; so a self-regenerating pizza that never ends.
