Lol - fanboy of the game I think it is time to grow up a little cow. I’m not a fanboy of any game. I started playing in Warcraft from… Warcraft 2. If I was any fanboy in my childhood of some game, for sure it was WoW. Now I’m just adult enough to know what is good and what is bad.

WoW’s not perfect, no one claimed it was, but FF14 is trash. Mediocre at best, at it’s peaks.

World of Warcraft was released on 23 November 2004. Within months, millions of people were playing it. Millions have been paying every month to continue playing it. They also paid for major content additions to the base game, building the world on past contagious game history / experience.
You are building what is called a “False Equivalency”. I can get you a link on what that means if you need to look it up.
Be an Astrologian player.
Ask FF14 for many years to make shield healing a more viable playstyle.
SE announces they are making Barrier Healers.
SE announces Astrologian will be losing their barriers.
SE reveals new healer based around the shield healing designed asked about heavily by Astrologian players.
SE announced that Astrologian will be a pure healer.
Queue every Astrologian main getting pissed off.

Your the one trying to pretend that playing early stuff of WoW, means you physically cannot be a fan boy of another game years later.
Just cause you claimed to have played WC2 and Played WoW during TBC doesn’t mean your permanently immune to becoming a fan boy of another game 12+ years later.
I even don’t know where is the problem here? Just relax little cow and go doing your World Quests in Destiny 2… Shadowlands.
I care about WoW and I’m sad how bad this game it is after years.
FFXIV was never better than WoW, it’s getting better because Activision (Blizzard) getting worst.

Real talk? I wish someone would make a better MMORPG. But after several have tried, and taken headshots when they failed, the reality is, no publisher is going to take the risk to spend the time and money it would take.
The flip side of that is, players won’t give a title a chance to shine. If you didn’t play WoW in the first year, you may not know, it was VERY FAR from the polished machine it is today. It was buggy. There were constant server restarts. There were lots of unfinished graphics, unfinished quests, unfinished specs. It was a mess.
And it was glorious.
It would never fly today.
