Sooo whats the deal with Feral? Seems blizz just doesnt wanna let us be decent. We finally start being a potential S tier/meta then we get nerfed. I began to main a Feral after having it an alt for a while. Ive noticed I run Into combo point issues aswell not being able to take any damage as cool downs are kinda worthless except for like one spell. Have heals with long cool downs. Not to mention we cant use innervate for heals without switching forms.(which we have more forms then attacks). Feral could be alot better. Really like this class and feel we should be competitive in all areas of the game. Over the years Ive just seen them get really close to being really good thenâŠboomâŠnerfed. Just my thoughts. I dont want to switch classes cause in this expansion the grind is really really crazy.
Yeah, they nerfed Resto druid too.
What nerfs are you talking about exactly?
They are nerfing the unlimited aoe ability of rip tear and trash circle of life and death and buffing things like bites and primal wraths cleave to compensate and trying to in and trying to buff a bite build in single target to be the best single target build to justify having lower bleed damage to in single target.
YeahâŠitâs not a nerf. Itâs an overall DPS increase and you wonât even notice because it doesnât change the way you play and you wonât even notice a difference in the damage profile.

In lower difficulty content â content where youâre interested in helping friends â you will certainly notice it.
In actual content, itâs a pointless change.
I think rose tinted glasses in here forget the state of Shadow Priest and Aff Lock in swarm conditions, where the ability to bite a Rip swarm is low because other classes arenât gated behind 5 GCDs to do their AoE burst.
OP should specify the changes theyâre referring to. Iâm assuming based on the date of the post itâs the new changes going in last minute affecting feral PvP. For those who havenât seen:
Druid
- Rake damage reduced by 18% in PvP Combat.
- Rip damage reduced by 18% in PvP Combat.
- Ferocious Bite damage reduced by 25% in PvP Combat (was reduced by 20%).
Feral
- Feral Frenzy damage reduced by 10% in PvP Combat.
- Frenzied Regeneration healing reduced by 50% (was reduced by 38%) in PvP Combat (Feral and Restoration only)
It will definitely still be a net loss in damage especially in conjunction with the previous changes announced (Dreadful Bleeding nerf being one of the standout ones) however I feel we might not see it as much since most of us will be gaining tier next week and 4 set should offset this, if only a little. Iâm likely on copium but hey, you find whatever light you can when your spec is S tier for once.
Frenzied Regen changes makes me sad, however. I havenât had the opportunity to do 3s this season (our healer had some life changes and hasnât gotten there yet) but in 2s and shuffle Iâm definitely one of the preferred targets as is, so kinda feels bad losing more defensive value.
