Female Players Experience in game

Same with anyone in the LGBT community. if you tell anyone you’re trangender or lgbt, they immediately start harassing you because of who you identify as. I’ve tried to tell others not to call a friend he or she, when they prefer the pronounces them and they. Of course WoW players don’t care and don’t use the preferred pronouns even when told 20 times!

I have been playing for over ten years. Done hard core raiding to LFG. I can count on one hand the amount of “sexual harassment” I have encountered in the game.
Most folks who play are just everyday guys and gals. You might want to consider how you come across if you are experiencing this so often.

I ask this sincerely, who are you getting into disc with that is creepy? Why would you tolerate that? I’m a woman, not a girl, but only a couple people ever have been “creepy” with me. They weren’t for long tho, because I didn’t put up with it.

Is this just a veiled attempt at attention because you think saying “I’m a girl” will get that? You must play with kids. Creepy kids.

Ppl expect me to keep chatting with them during M+ run, like this other girl also in the group who wouldn’t stop talking, I was concentrating on healing the group and got complained that I didn’t talk enough, off topic chats not related to the run. I have no interest in competing with this other girl who is so charming and can’t shut up. Just trying to get KSM and want to be treated like normal. High level keys, healer has to watching all of their HP bar and do all the mechanics at the same time. The other males in the group were not required to talk at all.

Okay, nvm. Obviously a troll thread. Carry on.

My wife gets creepy whispers from time to time in trade chat and lfr.

Usually we get a bunch of friends to spam them with lewd offerings matching those the dude sent first.

This female gamer has never had it. Whilst I’m 38, I sound 19. But never had it. Not a single time.

Luck? Maybe.

I play oceanic and I’ll acknowledge I’ve seen more sexism from American men than I have seen from Australian (from US men who have moved here - very much not all of them though. Mainly the older ones - and those ones are of an age they don’t tend to play wow). So maybe it’s a US thing. I don’t know.

It certainly isn’t my experience though.

I’m curious how you know. Unless you just assume everyone is a male like I do lol

I’ve read other’s complaining about this, but I use this word to describe myself. I don’t get the issue.

uh…perhaps if you healed them better they’d die less and you wouldn’t have to carry them?

The point is, treat other ppl like equal, we know how to press buttons same as you, we don’t need your “carries” in exchange for “entertaining”.

/gquit.

Problem solved.

Leave the guild. It’s literally that simple. You don’t need to victimize yourself, you’re better than that.

Find a better environment. Every raiding guild I’ve been in has conducted themselves appropriately in retail (most Mythic raiders are more mature about this from my experience). My Classic guild did have some issues with creepy players, though.
