Can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic here, but imo, it does not look better. There are also much worse offenders for the shoulders, like the leather ones from M Uldir, which not only look off in their angle, as seen here

but straight out cut into the model as seen here

This is just shoddy work and, regardless of if the change was intentional or not, should be reverted to the pre 9.0.2 state.
The new shoulder placement really does look awful. :\ Hopefully they fix it, soon.
On a side-note, I’ve noticed that some of the smaller shields clip halfway through my lady Pandaren’s arm, as well…though I’ve used larger shields for a while, so this may not be a new thing and I’m just discovering it, now.
It looks good
I love that mog!
/Signed, this has to be a bug, some of the examples I’ve seen are REALLY bad. If they did it on purpose, please revert. So many females have problems with shoulders being too far away from the neck and look like they’re floating, please don’t add pandaren to the list.
I’ve done quite a bit of transmog on female pandas over the years and one of the most consistently annoying things about their model is how shoulders have always looked really goofy and unnatural on them. From what I’ve seen of the new clipping with a lot of leather sets, it’s not even a comparison of how much better it is compared to the old way. I’m really surprised to see people unhappy about this change.
It’s really bad, go play with a pandaren now. Some are okay, but many models are just unusable, they are upper arm guards. I had to build my new mog (it’s not showing atm) around a pair of shoulders I like with the change because there are so few that don’t look weird to me.
March 2021. Patch 9.0.5 has brought back again the shoulder missplace bug. Now the leather shoulders float very far from the body shoulder
