I believe it was also mentioned in Day of the Dragon, in fact. Granted, a lot of that book is no longer canonical as I understand it, but I’m pretty sure it was a convo with like Falstad and Vereesa or summat…

In a few I have seen, but even in dwarven literature, women with beards is rare. The common depiction of a female dwarf, is beardless.

Considering it’d be automated to fit whatever pronoun you entered the first time, it’d be just fine.
If the females want a beard, and you say it’s normal, then you’re going to need pots or something so you can be ultra realistic and pump up your hormones in game. Otherwise, it will just be peach fuzz.
