There’s nothing “dainty” about riding side-saddle. It’s a whole heck of a lot harder than riding astride.

That said, while I think the animations for riding astride in skirts/robes look kind of dumb, I’m not particularly in favor of a side-saddle option because the original purpose wasn’t for keeping dresses from getting “rucked up.” It was because men were offended by the idea of a woman spreading her legs over a horse’s back.

My grandmother (born in 1887) told me how she and her sister would go for rides side-saddle. As soon as they were out of sight, they would take off the saddles and ride astride, skirts and all.

I am upset that my female characters with dresses/skirts all seem to have no problem jumping on the backs of their mounts and riding without their skirts/dresses all rucked up.

While I disagree with the OP, I’m wondering if they think this because the female draenei mount stance is so weird looking compared to all the other races
