Korg approves
Think about this for a second if we want to be hyper realistic how exactly would armor work.
We are fighting in a world with magic, giant mechs, demons, monsters, dragons, etc.
If its not magic that would go right through armor. Its literally something yhe size of a car or house smacking us around.
Then you have various environments. Deserts, underwater, in space, forest, icey sub zero tundras, etc.
All of this would require in reality very different gear. Specialized for each user.
Folks complaining “it’s unrealistic” makes no sense. We are not in reality. We can excuse everything with because magic.
In a fantasy setting your armor and weapons eill be magical. Do a bikini provides the same protection as a fully covering suit.
I think of it this way. The magical armor generates a invisible shield that can only take so many hits. It needs time to regenerate. So you want to dodge, block, and parry as much as possible.
Anything which hinders your freedom of movement and vision will get you killed.
But well we have tmog and most armors are fully covering. So if the trope isn’t your stick then you can mog as you wish. Ideally there there should be a happy mix armor styles available to all. 300 new armors in an expac? Ok 100 skimpy, 100 noneskimpy, and 100 in between the two extremes. Everyone wins.
Also want to point out actual history. There have b3en times where troops fought naked or barely clothed. Either because armor wasn’t an option or they did it to scare their enemies.
Jacked naked guys charge you screaming like crazy animals covered in tattoos … yea you run from that.
Then you got the history of kunochi female assasins using sex as a weapon to disarm and distract.
That’s the way I feel about it. Just make a mix of clothing that’s skimpy, non-skimpy, and in between and people can then tmog as they please.
Ok, what’s this got to do with what I wrote?
If we have to help Thrall find his armored banana hammock in 10.0 I’m unsubbing.
You where talking about physical protection being realistic and protecting the user. I’m pointing out how the setting of the game makes realistic armor completely moot.
I think they are. A lot of them hardly wear shirts, are super buff, handsome etc.
I enjoy it, lol and idc about female characters being sexualized tbh
Champion! I threw my banana hammock at Helya in the battle earlier. Can you help me find it?
Right but I was kidding. There’s a whole psuedo political argument about sexism in the game, and I’m saying DH are overpowered because there’s too much magic damage.
So a young women committed suicide about being shamed. A certain type of shame with a four letter word in front of it. Yet I see threads and articles from pcgamer about oversexualization? Are you kidding me? Do people not have any common courtesy?
The male colleagues aren’t the ones completely held responsible either. Where were her female colleagues for support? Why wasn’t there an ear for her to turn to, or receive a hug? Some type of support. If this women felt like she could talk to anyone, I guarntee this would’ve turned out differently. They are just as accountable and must’ve joined in on the shaming. Realistically she wasn’t going to run to male colleagues for obvious reasons.
Can we kinda not promote suicide for women and let them express themselves freely. I mean someone betrayed her trust. She shouldn’t have been ostracized and stoned to death (emotionally). More so when this bully behavior is more impressionable on the youth and they deal with it everyday. In most cases with ATTIRE. (As title states) So let’s not promote women committing suicide by being bullied to death.
#Medbikini
It’s okay for male and female characters to be either scantily clad or have on lots of stuff or be dressed anywhere in between.
Hi-res versions of Vanilla armor when.
He should’ve been wearing assless chaps for the Org fight.
That so many men boo’d at her question is pretty gross, not to mention the dudes horrible response.
Men are so fragile when you give just the slightest amount of criticism.
Pretty sexist of you to assume only men boo’d her.
Some people are so fragile thinking we’re some sort of hivemind who all think the same way.
It’s pretty obvious by listening that the vast majority of the people cheering were women, and the vast majority of boos came from men.
If you’re going to hone in on a semantic point of my not saying “most” or “some”, I got nothing for you. Plenty of other generalizations flying around here, there’s a reason you’re focusing on this one.
You continue to be sexist here.
It’s better than to focus on a non issue like armor.
Sexualization happens in the eye of the beholder. That’s what a lot of people fails to understand.
If she saw a female character in a skimpy outfit, and the first thing that came to her mind was “this is sexual”, that’s on her. When I see a female character in a skimpy outfit, I just think “this is impractical”, other times, I simply think “Ok, that does look cool”.
So yeah, to even talk about something that relies exclusively on personal perception, it’s useless.
On the other hand, people claiming all men boo’d, and all women cheered, seems like something worth discussing.
Are you going to sit here with a straight face and say you can’t tell when you hear a crowd of men vs a crowd of women. Like this is absurdly obtuse, you’re just playing dumb at this point.
Also sexualization isn’t just in the eye of the beholder when someone designs something to purposefully be sexually explicit or gratuitous.
You don’t understand how perception works my dude.
Nah…he was destined to lose the green jesus in the old days.
NOw that he could win easy since Thrall can’t get the shaman mojo up anymore they dusted his butt…literally.
It be nice to see a round 3. Thrall beat down hard, no shaman shortcuts to help him…the stuff of dreams really.
You can tell me you really can tell the difference between female pitch and male pitch in that low quality video?
I guess everything works as long as you can keep telling yourself women are all part of a hivemind.
The intent of the author means absolutely nothing once it reaches audiences.
But, do you, my dude?
Yes I can easily tell, I’ve watched this video before. Idk if this version is of lower quality, but from what I saw, the difference is as clear as day.
You’d also be an absolute fool to think women would boo this question.
And death of the author is not the be all end all of criticism. If a white nationalist author writes something that is pro white nationalist and people say “hey this kinda sounds like white nationalist propaganda”, that’s not just their perception.
