So, you have to like everything in the game, and be happily forced to do it, or you’re whining? I haven’t even complained and that idea is toxic. That’s some dictator level manipulation. “don’t you dare speak against the game”.
I swear there’s got to be Blizz staff here at times.

The Pet battle is designed to be a Make or Break section for players. Either people will not attempt it due to not liking Pet battles or Not wanting to go and grind the 3 Pets best suited to beating the NPC or Get to the point of fighting the NPC but tae hours or more and get nowhere close to beating it because its 99.9% impossible each time you start the Encounter. I have been at it for 4 hours and the best I got was the Monkey pet at around 1 or maybe 2 hits off of completion. I am using Taptaf Spyragosa and Terky since I don’t want to dedicate any time getting the Dracthyr one because that isnt worth my time nor is it for the other secret ones that are only attainable from quests or long chains.
This whole Secret mount chain is just a Distracting torture Device nothing more nothing less and the jokes on us We are doing all of this searching and unlocking of knowledge to help people as in the Discord group etc to only get a Fel version of a Mount already in the game that is Region locked to the United States and if you ever wanted to get it you had to befriend an American go to america or have american family or friends willing to helpe you get something that does not even fly. Thats the real secret.

I mean, I’m pretty sure no one is forcing you to do anything. This whole thing is about a recolour of a mount. A mount you can already buy for some diabetus juice or cholesterol chips. Plus it’s the secret recolour so it’s meant to be tricky to obtain. And all that without mentioning the fact that there will be additional recolours of the same mount on the TP.
I really don’t understand some of you guys.
I’m not a pet battler or a toy collector. So I don’t have rare toys or pets and I’ve done maybe 10 pet battles since their inception.
I wish the pet battle part had been the first step so I could have opted out right away instead of going through the first 3 orbs and putting time in towards this.
I do think it’s a bit unfair to have these require rare pets and toys. I got lucky with the toy on step 2 as someone else had it. At least if they were easily obtainable pets that everyone has it would be easier to try.

Just wait till you try to do orb 6. I’d argue that that one is has WAY more requirements attached to it then the pet battle part. I was literally the only one on my entire shard that was able to get it for everyone else in the vicinity.
The only reason 99% of the people play the game is to have objectives to achieve. The carrot on a stick. That is the game. That’s how the whole game is designed. Saying you don’t have to do it is like saying you don’t have to play the game.
A lot of people don’t have the Dew bike too. So naturally they’d want this one.

I’ll have to see if I have the pets to get through step 5 first. Plus learn how to do pet battles and actually win it lol.
Sometimes you have to adjust your goals. I for example, really want the rated pvp saddle mounts. But since I’m garbage at pvp, I have to accept the fact that I just can’t get them. Same with the mage tower book mount. It happens.
I got to Chapter 4 of guest relations and then stopped dead in my tracks when i found out about the needed pets. I am someone who has given pet battles a good try and they’re just not my thing at all. Why could’nt they have made this step require lucid nightmare or hidden artifact appearances?
I just think it’s ok not to like it, and Blizz does this to pad numbers. They don’t talk to investors about long winding quests that force players to do something they don’t want to. They say, “look at this participation”. This was set up to help them, not us.
It’s just blatantly obvious to me. I don’t think being passive and just accepting the state of the game is healthy.

Eh. I don’t know if what I’m saying means being passive about it. It means their metrics show less people participate with X. Which tells them to adjust their development priorities accordingly. Which is probably why we get these type of big secret chains so rarely.
It’s really no different to how I didn’t interact with the vault system for years since I didn’t bother with raiding, don’t do m+ and didn’t do rated pvp. And I guess my silent voice was eventually heard considering the changes made to the way the vault works now.
i’m just glad it was a pet battle and not a +20 mythic key timed
Nobody does them for a reason lol. Thats all that needs to be known about the situation.
Blizz padding numbers isn’t new. They do it for their best interests, not the players.

This is actually something to consider. In the past this sort of quest chain would have almost for sure required some sort of raid clear. The dust up would have likely been even worse if that was the case.

I can tell you for a fact right now if we come down to the 12th pillar, looking for an orb and the only way to get it is mythic plus, I’m gonna get banned from this forum for expressing my opinion

You’re not wrong, but i wouldn’t mind that. So long as its any difficulty.
The Small Flame Sacs aren’t too bad to get if you have a higher level character–just run to the top floor of Dire Maul West (where the boss Illyana Ravenoak is), kill and loot all of the Eldreth Darters, then run out and reset the dungeon if they didn’t drop enough for the quest. The darters have a 30% drop rate for the sacs, and you’ll probably wind up with extras to sell to/share with others who need them.

Josh has already stated that this entire secret can be soloed. He stated some part may be easier grouped up but it’s not required.
some people haven’t figured out they don’t need everything in this game yet and it is up to them to decide if what you want is worth the effort. That said blizzard usually caves in to whiners way too much and teaches them it is worthwhile crying about things.
