what do random bgs have to do with arena participation??
Heās delusional. Take him to the infirmary.
Those ideas means nothing if people dont want to play healer, the same goes for Tank in PVE content. Blizz need to encourage people to play those specs so more people can find content to play. Adding all those ideas will mean nothing if people cant find a healer to queue with.
I agree with most of the support that PvP will need going into MoP.
The two major factors that cause people to not play arena is ease of access and playability. Nobody unfamiliar with arena wants to queue into melee that have legendary weapons and heroic trinkets that give them instant kill potential or casters that can just kill you with instant casts over a few seconds. MoP does a great job on solving these problems with baseline resilience, and making the PvP gear just give you an advantage via PvP Power without making you too weak or too strong but still outscale the PvE gear.
Encouraging long term play we definitely need better systems to find partners, as a Horde player itās nearly impossible to find people to play with even on the mega servers because people just arenāt interested in PvP without playing human racials generally. Cross faction queuing and a better LFG tool will cause significant increase in people playing.
Titles are a mess, always have been. Huge source of drama via boosters, cheaters, and the like right on the last week of arena. The retail model does a much better job of having mid-season rewards for climbing the ladder.
They intentionally took away x-realm LFG tool.
It has killed the ability for people to find RBG/arena partners and has killed PvP.
This is a big part of it. Getting stomped for 80 battlegrounds so you can gear out a single spec on a single character is just not fun (and never has been). Itās a huge barrier to entry for anyone who might be even slightly interested in PvP. Iāll never understand why Blizzard is against it.
