Attempting to fix Horde ques was necessary, and you’ve done that, great job!
Fix the issue of alliance queuing into alliance. With the way you described this working that shouldn’t happen.
Also not a big deal, but lose the masks. They’re goofy. Tabard or a reskin is enough.
Last night I played for hours on end, it was fantastic. Then I started running into premades, first just in EOTS but now they’re everywhere (except AV).
I’d rather have the hour long queues typically not against premades than this. I would have sworn that in the original tbc I remember if you queued as a raid you’d be matched against another one, but that’s definitely not the case now. In any case, the same faction bgs are very fun - if it’s pug vs pug or premade vs premade. When it’s pug vs premade (which it usually is if you pug), it’s pretty awful.

Some Alliance are saying they are getting alliance vs alliance games. I agree that this isn’t how the system was described, and would be totally fine with somewhat longer queues (presumably still under 5 minutes) to prevent this. Admittedly, I think it’s somewhat of an advantage to the Horde to be able to get familiar with the map from both sides while the Alliance don’t, so I think the Alliance should maybe be happy with how it’s working.
It seems to me that if it is premade vs pug, the premade always gets the “home team” side. I’ve done enough games that I don’t think this is a coincidence anymore. It doesn’t really matter, but it’s kinda strange and it’s gotten to the point where when I get Alliance side (which is almost always), I think: “Oh no, I hope we’re not against a premade again”
Little consolation that the pug horde get to experience what alliance pvp has been this last month. But like anything, horde pvp’ers will find a way to make the game unfun for everyone except themselves.
Experience has been great, all my friends are PVP’ing and enjoying the game. Appreciate the changes.
Games are terrible. Horde giving up and allowing other horde team to win if 3 capped in eots. TERRIBLE CHANGE. REVERT NOW.
Simple fix, revert changes. Create NEW queue. Queue is Factionless solo queue random bg, with equal parts alliance horde on each team +/- 1.

Amazing change, I unsubbed due to BG queues. But I’ll be resubbing now.
I say double down on the queue times. Implement Faction based queues. The game already has server queues for “Full” servers. Why cant a faction be “Full”. Offer free alliance transfers and forced server merges between servers that have equal to similar imbalance on each end of the spectrum. Rather than pandering to a faction/group of people that inflate the problem. Fix the route cause of it… We are aware the Horde overall have better PvP racial talents. But I doubt that having WoTF is going to make or break the average players pipe dream of being Gladiator… See how quickly people abandon that notion and happily balance out the alliance to play a healthier populated game.
How does this hurt you in anyway. Nobody’s going to reroll horde just because of this change. Just like horde weren’t rerolling alliance just because of BG que’s. I was legit ready to quit the game if they didn’t do something about this. Not to mention World PVP is very rare to begin with.

So walk me thrugh this as an alliance player: Horde vs horde doesnt affect me. However I am most likely to face in a battleground, you guessed it horde. So in the event of a horde v horde battleground, I lose twice before it even starts without my involvement or knowledge. I also am very suspicious this will not be abused, for obvious reasons. Yet you see no way that this correlates or connects to alliance at all? There were a plethora of reasonable fixes out there, this was not even close to being one of them.
This was happening before the change man? Of course there’s going to be tons of premades during the weekend and at prime hours. I played all morning at least 8 EOTS and ran into 2 premades.

Of course this is the reasonable one. Because it panders to the faction imbalance… Which in turn may lead to more alliance players abandoning to horde and increasing the chance of a paid character boost.
I really like that it’s faster queues, however it’s actually been significantly worse for me on horde, every. single. game. is FULL premades with 3-4 healers, tanks and all sorts, whilst we have 0 healers. you simply cannot win, I am 21L 0W. PLLEEAAASEEE put some sort of system in place to match these guys against each other instead. Every BG is completely one sided and smashing us into oblivion, i’ve had less honor and marginally less fun since it was implemented, at least before we had a chance to win.

Im not saying that you personally wanted the same faction BGs. But this is honestly hysterical. Will this become the new complaint from the horde side? “We really hated waiting to long in BG Queues… But now we really hate these instant Queues because we always face premades…” This doesn’t fix any of the route problems and just leaves for more ridiculous complaints in the future…
