No they dont. Thankfully Blizzard understands this which is why they are working on a fix.
They will do what makes them more money. If it’s true that Horde have more players, they will definitely implement HvH so Horde players continue to pay for their subs longer. If not, a lot of Horde players will simply drop the game.
If you think Blizzard devs care that a minority of Alliance players feel like it’s unfair, you are fooling youself. HvH is the better option for the overall health of the game, there’s no data that states otherwise.
Hey blizzard your game is bad and has no replayable end game content.
Please allow horde to queue for battlegrounds to give us something to do.
Thank you.
Yes, they do. It’s a player-made problem, and Blizzard needs to keep its hands off.
Sorry but I’m not as vindictive as you. I don’t believe in punishing players for playing a game.
oh you and your insults. so precious.
somebody woke up grumpy wumpy.
cheer up and turn that frown upside down!
Imagine playing WoW to have fun. Impossible, you have to be a meta-slave, any other option is unthinkable, even if it’s a small easy fix to solve an issue that affects a majority of players and let them enjoy the game they’re paying for. Unthinkable.
so you saying the same thing as other your trying to defend.
its ok if alliance quits because you still have HvH to fall on.
that’s my point here its not fair. you chose to play the over populated side but want the ones that plays the game normally to quit?
Playing horde is just as normal as alliance. Sorry we didn’t pick a side based on queues like you did.
I chose to play the side I like. I have no care for meta.
If more people prefer Horde, there’s nothing Blizzard can do to fix it. I just want to queue some quick BGs so I can actually access the gameplay I like when I have time to play.
this is no different than saying, “people that rolled alliance kne what they were getting into with wpvp and less populated servers. deal with it or quit.”
well, if all of the alliance’s cries are true, blizzard would lose more money by horde quitting over alliance… you know, since we vastly outnumber you, right?
i saved your first for last. i have been offering possible solutions; you just either haven’t been reading all the posts, or you just jump in at the end of conversations, taking that tangent as the starting point. so here’s a summary of what i can remember off the top of my head:
- go ahead an offer free horde to ally changes. if you actually get a few horde to do so, it can go towards helping the server balance.
- close sub 1k population servers. server change alliance to less ratio servers to help balance; same with horde.
- reinstate the same faction bgs. break any premades from being able to join- allow only parties up to 5. if premades are allowed, they should be only put against another premade with pugs then filling any open team spots. there’s nothing wrong with them waiting extra minutes if they want to join as premades. pugs should only be vs pugs; never vs a premade.
there were other things as well, but just these main 3 things would benefit both sides as a whole.
only if i can get a hug! =]
Playing the game “normally” means playing the game because you enjoy it, regardless of meta. I do not care about competitive meta. I’ve played Horde for 15 years. I prefer Horde, my friends play Horde. That’s how most people play the game, believe it or not. More people prefer Horde, that’s it.
I should not be penalized with hour long queues because I prefer Horde to Alliance. What you’re saying is ridiculous. HvH is a quick and simple fix that lets Horde players enjoy casual PvP.
i do agree with all what you’re saying, but blizzard is doing it wrong in retail to make alliance more attractive to new players. they need better races than more stumpy, fat kirin tor or better yet, more god damned robotic gnomes! the foxes would’ve been an awesome alliance fit and could’ve attracted more players to flip. honestly, alliance are just too boring, and this is coming from someone who does play alliance on retail (i went back to horde for classic because it’s where i spent my first 8yrs, starting with vanilla).
That’s mostly a matter of personal taste. I know I don’t care which races they add to Alliance, I am just not interested in playing Alliance as a faction. That’s all.
yeah, that wasn’t meant to disagree with your point. i probably would’ve stayed horde too had it not been for friends finding out i played and talking me into raiding with the guild they were in. no one honestly thought about racials back then- the entire reason i went horde was because i saw this badass shaman wrecking stuff in westfall and thought, “i wanna play that!”
well guess ill just jump on the horde boat then. nobody cares if alliance PvP quits. its only fair they add HvH for the horde so more alliance PvP’s quit. that’s how it is now nobody like to play alliance. if you like to play alliance PvP i am sorry majority boosters has spoken you can quit. they want HvH if not they quit making blizzard less money than if alliance quit. (their money better than your money i guess)
if they add the HvH i hope they consider just the PvP servers. since horde dont care for wpvp just faster que times. merge them as separate pvp bg’s servers let alliance transfer off if they want. and never merge them in future.
then the horde and alliance can still PvP each other in BG’s like the game was meant to be played thru pve and not retailed.
“This change destroys the core faction conflict” Very rich coming from a PvE player. Battlegrounds are in a vacuum. As one side chooses to participate less, this change allows more players. More players playing the game is a good thing!
I find the armchair gamedev responses hilarious though:
- Just faction change - no, why would I want to do that as a “fix” for one side NOT participating in battlegrounds?
- Boost honor for everyone - So make the advantage even more in favor of the non-participating side?
- Enlistment bonus for alliance - LOL, see above?
- Cross-tealm grouping for Alliance - I’m sorry you can’t find players that want to do premades on your server, maybe you should faction change
- Crafted starter PVP set - There is a rep set that comes in a later phase, just because gear doesn’t have resil doesn’t mean you are unable to PVP at all with it
- Racial adjustments/deactivation - really?
- Forced 10 to 15 minute wait - what? why? Because the horde faction has players that want to do BGs, so punish them for it?
- Breaking premades - again, i’m sorry you can’t find enough players to join your premade. Perhaps consider a server change or roll on a faction that participates
All of the arguments I’ve seen masked as making it “fair” for alliance or the “long-term health of the game” have been the result of entitlement. I don’t think most of the people slamming this change are able to look at the issue objectively, otherwise they would agree the change is better for the game.
lol nice one
